That was a deal.
RE: PDK; I am a huge fan of the 6MT in the 997 and GT4 (I know they are different). The 7MT in these cars is nice, but I wouldn't necessarily take it over the PDK. It all depends on the situation. My wife did a track day in one of these with the PDK and was happy to have it vs. her normal 6MT.
As far as sunroof goes: I never use it, but I am not sure I would notice it if it were there or not.
I think a "true" enthusiast car, as far as what Porsche currently-recently makes-made, would be the GT4/Spyder, or a GT3 on up. All of the 911s are compromised in one way or another. A spyder with buckets would be my "enthusiast spec". Any 991 is going to feel bloated and imprecise compared that that car!
18-ways are typically the "enthusiast" seat, although they are a bit heavier than the 4-ways. They are a lot more secure and what our cab had! It isn't like people are chasing weight in these either; if weight were a concern, people would be shopping a 981 Spyder

out!
I know that the Spyder is probably the ultimate car there, however. That exhaust, especially with a tune and headers, making 415hp, with a car that is a good 300 lbs lighter than a 991!

Amazes me how many ads list 2012 991s as 997s and vice versa. Sellers seem clueless that both versions were produced in 2012.
18 ways
Anyone know what the 18's weigh vs. the 4 way sport seats ?

Found this elsewhere on the forum:

Geez, so people are bellyaching over 31 lbs between 4-ways and 18-ways? Like the normal person can even feel that: 100 lbs, maybe. If you want light, buy a Lotus. Most people here could stand to lose 30lbs easily I bet!

Amen! I have been saying that for years...ever wonder why jockies are tiny & light?!
That’s actually a pretty significant difference. My car feels nearly night and day with a full or empty tank of gas. Not so much in acceleration or speed as it does in how tossable and “go karty” it feels.
31 pounds
Normally the 18 ways are going to come with a sunroof and then you have your 100 pounds. 100 pounds is a lot and especially weight up high or in the wrong place like a sunroof. People are spending valid money on antigravity batteries to save 20 pounds. The easiest way to gain horsepower is to lose weight. I bought a performance car to go fast but understand a lot of folks just like these as GT cruisers or daily drivers. YMMV.
