All is can say, is that you guys who found cars over the last 1-2 years consider yourselves lucky. Not a great buyers market out there. Slim pickings and prices reflecting that.
The inventory of pre-owned 991.1 S/4S's is the lowest I've seen in the last couple years.
Cars will come up, but DO NOT hesitate if the right one at the right price comes along.

Yup. I told my wife this was going to be the case, especially with my difficult requirements: cab, manual, full leather, not black or Luxor interior, vented seats, PSE and Sport Chrono. As I said in my delivery thread, that Venn diagram has very little overlap. Fortunately, it was at a well regarded dealer, and only 1,600 miles away meant I could drive it home.
I'm one the folks out there waiting for the right car to buy. Any thoughts on whether prices for '14-'16 cars will soften as the '18's start to be delivered? With used prices approaching new car prices, particularly given performance from a 991.2 base C2 comes close to that of a 991.1 C2S, I'm temped to buy a new one even if it means taking a larger depreciation hit in year 1-2.

I luck out bc the dealer has a good reputation here.
One of the factors that STG may not know is that there is a group of Cayenne Diesels (and other 3.0 tdi owners) who expect $ coming from VW. The early VW 3.0 tdi owners are having their cars bought outright. The later ones (such as the Cayennes) are getting some $ compensation. I bet some of them (me lol) are/were looking at the new/used 991 market. I have already seen one contributor in the Cayenne board buying a new 991.2. So, I am not alone

Yeah, I am pretty much out of the market. Gave up in the manual cab base for the spring early summer. The car I want is too rare to rush. Maybe in the fall I will find something.

With a base model 991.1 search, I'm sure there are much better buys and much lower mileage.
In your neck of the woods. Check this out:

$104K MSRP and CPO. Try for low $70's. Clean CarFax too.
Looks very clean from pics too. Tried to find something similar to what you had found.

If you find a good one jump on it! I'm still kicking myself for moving too slow.

About 12k over general depreciation for a 3 year old P-Car.
Is there a term coined for the opposite of HFS? Cold For Sale?
Is his price really that off for a Turbo? Seems like GTS are only a little lower. If this ultimately goes in the low 110s isnt that pretty good? I admit I'm new here . . .
