HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991
have no idea why he didn't try to get it repaired at one of the porsche approved body shops around atlanta, there are 3-4 options available. regardless i'm sure he got a nice diminished value payout from it.

In any case, an interesting car to watch. It's at 66k on BAT now, 2 days left. 69 or better, great deal. Over that? Not so impressed.

I'm betting RNM...
Just sold a 2013 991.1 C4S with 28k miles to carmax for 67k.
Bought this car off them 1 year and a half ago for 72k.
Very happy with the number they gave me. Porsche dealer offered 60k

I have yet to get a good buy offer from any brand dealer that didn't have competition down the street.
You think it is worth that little? What were the repairs, $15,000? This is what, a $120,000 car if not in an accident? I sure as heck would own it for $69k. I doubt I could buy a car like this with a salvage title for that: the parts are probably worth more!

25K in repairs... Lots of paintwork. Absolutely would want to see it in person or buy it at a HUGE discount.
Carmax does very well on these buy quotes. Porsche dealers don't have to work for a buck; it seems like a cartel to me. Their profit is wrapped up in the exclusivity of distribution of their product, not how well they run their business.

My friend was there to offer a ride in his 2012 Rolls Royce Phantom. He got it appraised for fun and the only offered him 110k (its worth 260).
What he means by "stories cost" is how much money future headaches will cost you down the road.
Possible electrical gremlins, permanent alignment issues, high speed stability issues, shakes/rattles/vibrations and so on. A bunch of tick tack things that can drive someone crazy whose chasing to fix these never ending problems.

Sure, all sorts of stuff. Engine replacement, theft record, water damage, hail damage, vandalism, lemon law recall, title issues, liens , one of Nick Murray's cars, deaths in the vehicle ..... on and on. Dozens of 'em.
Porsche is currently appraising the .2 GTS. Waiting to get low balled.
FYI I purchased the Max Care warranty under Carmax. 5 years 120k miles for $3200.. Used it a couple times and they paid me back $2224.
If you find a good deal on a 991 thru carmax with a clean carfax... BUY IT ASAP. My best advice.
