Anyone near Porsche of Norwell willing to check out this GTS for me?

https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invent...ting=169140194

I think I am close to being able to work out a deal w/ the dealer on it.

I been lurking for a while now looking for a 991 I am from Costa Rica and the availability of cars is really limited, the best option is to import them from the U.S. or Europe, but the set back is the taxes you need to paid, to give you an example for a $65.000 2013 Carrera S it would cost in Costa Rica $107.000

So finding this 4s in $110.000 might be a hfs

I want to point out to non-Americans that most Americans live in states that have sales tax. However, in the US there is no requirement to list prices with sales/VA tax included. Most countries with a nationwide sales/VA tax require prices to include sales tax.

That is important e.g. when Germans look at US prices on websites and vice versa. The German advertised prices include 19% sales tax, regardless of whether it is the new-car Porsche site or a used car dealer. US prices never include sales tax, but if you live in a state that has it then you will pay the sales tax at the time of registration.

Private to private sale in Germany will generally not cause sales tax to be charged, however it does e.g. in Massachusetts. You pay sales tax on currently assumed value regardless of where you got the car, or from whom.

Many US regions also have other local taxes, such as excise tax.

For example, for the just posted US silver cab taxes in Messy Chusetts would be:
Code:
22,972 miles, $128,025 msrp, $49,035 loss, 61.70%
$2.13/mile, mile factor 0.810/10k
$  809.27/month(w), age  5.0 years (60 months), factor 0.909/year, 4,552 miles/year   (warranty)
$  752.13/month(p), age  5.4 years (65 months), factor 0.915/year, 4,231 miles/year (production)

MA sales tax $ 4936.88 (on current value)
ma excise tax year 2012: $                           2880.56
ma excise tax year 2013: $                           1920.38
ma excise tax year 2014: $                           1280.25
ma excise tax year 2015: $                            800.16
ma excise tax year 2016: $                            320.06
ma excise tax year 2017 ff: $        320.06 ( 26.67 / month)
Sorry for the noise. I usually find this worth posting since it makes both sides less envious.

Good for you! I've been talking to John about his car - trying to pick it up 7/15, but he's gone radio silent since mid week. I know he's travelling but I thought it was weird I hadn't gotten a response.

Cool car... I noticed the CarGuru's / Autocheck lists it as a 'Theft History'.

Might just want to do a bit more due diligence and make sure it isn't a theft recovery that might effect future value.

Good catch. Stolen and then eventually sold at auction. With 34K miles, not a great deal. Spend $105k-110K and get a nearly new one.

How soon do you need someone to check it out? I just mapped it and not up for sitting in an hour of Cape traffic, but can probably swing by Monday or Tuesday.

No need to go out of your way. I appreciate the offer!

What does everyone think is a fair price on it considering the theft report?

Nice looking GTS. The DBM really suits the 911. No Centerlocks, so you're not limited on wheel choice. Or, that could be a downside if you're wed to the black center locks. Well equipped too.

Many/most shops won't touch centerlocks, either because they don't know how to deal with them, or lack the expensive torque wrench needed.

Sorrry, man! He mentioned he had some interest; I guess it was just the right time and place for me. Pretty excited - it'll be my first water pumper (not counting our Cayenne).

In this current crazy GTS market, this barely broken-in S in the rennlist classifieds seems well priced.

2015 S, Sport Design Edition, 1,800 miles, CPO until 9/2021, 7 sp MT, PDCC.
MSRP $125K, asking $100K.
VIN: WP0AB2A9XFS124801

Been on the market for a month. What am I missing? Has anyone looked at this or considered it?

https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...750-miles.html

EDIT: Sorry, my bad - it's an S but still a nice car!
