Default GTS 2015 Built -

Hello All -

Today, I spoke with a wonderful dealer in NE Ohio whom I have purchased couple of 911's since 2008. He suggested to me that I can order the GTS 2015, by end of coming Nov. for April delivery. I am planning on doing so. Any thoughts, suggestions, on options/builds. I never had a GTS before.

Currently, I have the 911 4S Cab, GT Silver/Blue Top.

Thank you,

- Z

By the way Zane, did your dealer mentioned the specifications of the upcoming GTS and any other details? Inquiring minds want to know!

Hello Eduardo - Thank you for the note. He told me he should have something to look at (specs) in early November. He was certain on late spring 2015 delivery.

My recommendation: go spec your ideal C2S or C4S Coupe or Cabriolet...
that would be a good place to start...

based upon the previous 997 GTS and other Porsche GTS models a reasonable extrapolation of the car might be:

- 4S (wide body chassis)
- coupe & cabriolet (2WD and perhaps 4WD also) (targa?)
- X51 powerkit incl PSE and Sport Chrono Pkg
- 7sp manual (maybe) (&) PDK (at cost option if 7MT std)
- Sport Design front facia
- Sport Design mirrors (optional?)
- Sport Design steering wheel (optional?)
- Alacantara/Leather seating - 4 way, 14 way, 18 way (maybe sports seats ala GT3)
- "GTS" interior pkg: dev stitching, logos
- Turbo S (or other) CL wheels (5 lug optional?)
- PASM (S-PASM on Coupe)

plus all the other options currently available on the configurator for the S models...

with any luck the car should be (my guess) $5-10k less MSRP (primarily X51 discount)

keep us posted!

Is it possible to forgo the Alcantara in these models and just go with full leather?

Larry - Thank you. You are awesome on the suggestions. I diverge on one count though, I always had the full leather (thanks Sharm), was never a big fan of Alcantara.

I currently have full leather (Blue) on 4S Cab GT Silver. Thinking of the Cab GTS/ Blue Metallic exterior with Red top to start with. Or the White with Black top.

As I'm not familiar with GTS specs, can you add ceramic brakes for example?

I'm opting for sapphire blue GTS 2 cab...blue top. Depending upon the alacantara I may go full leather...

Well we don't know what's std but assume that options such as PCCB will be available... Hence my suggestion to spec a Carerra of your choice as a starting point

My dealer assured me today that any new info on the GTS he will relay asap to me. I am going with sapphire blue C4 GTS as it will be my daily driver. Going full leather. Have to say though those pics of the PTS greens are tempting

My guess is that ordering guide will be available at launch 11/18-20 or shortly after I'll post what I find out at the show on the 21st

Dealers may even get it sooner like 10/14

Interesting on the Sapphire with Blue top, wouldn't have thought of that mix.

And, yes you can go with the ceramics brakes as an option I believe.
