It should also be a good value for money
Double central exhaust confirmed also
No rear directionnal wheels as the gt3

My point was in response to Targa75, that 430bhp *was* the output of the X51... not in excess thereof.

I will probably have to be heavily sedated and committed/sectioned if not...

whoever sees any Porsche web special 1st should post a new top level thread...

tick tick tick...

I really wonder if it will have the "350Z" exhaust or not ... I'm betting that it wont, since I think that will be a facelift feature ... but only time will tell ...

Very interesting and exciting times for Porsche.

The possibility of a switch to turbo's for the 991.2 is the most important factor in determining the desirability of this soon to be unveiled GTS.

Could the 991.1 GTS truly be the last 3-pedal non-turbo 911???

good question ... I guess we will know more about the GTS sooner or later, I guess we wont know much about the next generation until it appears ...

apart from the 3.8L GT3s I dont recall another 911 "facelift" 2nd generation (as opposed to a new generation) car that had a (completely) new engine so perhaps the 992 (which I think are the mules we have seen photographed) will appear sooner rather than later?

The 997.1 to 997.2 facelift included a completely new engine.

This is partly what leads me to assume the likelihood that the 991.1 to 991.2 facelift would also mean an entirely new engine which would possibly be a turbo in this case.

Good evening to all - I have an update from a NE Ohio dealership. Porsche USA has a dealership grass root meeting next Wed/Thurs. (October 15/16) in Vegas. 1st day is Porsche Financial, and Service/Parts (boring); 2nd day is Marketing and New Products (Us).

His feedback, 911 GTS is confirmed; wasn't sure whether it's a facelift. Orders will start in Nov/Dec, with a delivery as early as February/March. He will have specifics on October 18.

All for now...

H'mmmm...

I feel that the likelyhood that 'the embargo' will be lifted on the 8th when the dealers are only likely to be told 'officially' about it on the 16th is a bit unlikely.

So now I am going to sedate and commit myself voluntarily until the 16th.

shoot you are right I forgot that's when the 9A1 was introduced ... we GT3 owners are very insular.
