Good evening to all - I have an update from a NE Ohio dealership. Porsche USA has a dealership grass root meeting next Wed/Thurs. (October 15/16) in Vegas. 1st day is Porsche Financial, and Service/Parts (boring); 2nd day is Marketing and New Products (Us). His feedback, 911 GTS is confirmed; wasn't sure whether it's a facelift. Orders will start in Nov/Dec, with a delivery as early as February/March. He will have specifics on October 18. All for now... - Z
So more speculation . . . Do we expect a GTS 2 Coupe, a GTS 4 Coupe, a GTS 2 Cab, a GTS 4 Cab and a GTS 4 Targa?
I'm asking because I have a C4S Cab ordered. It'll freeze in about two weeks and I'm already waaaay above nose-bleed territory on my spec and price. But I'm wondering whether a GTS 2 Cab would be similarly priced to my C4S Cab build. My spec already includes sport chrono and sport exhaust (which I presume will be standard with the GTS). That likely leaves only the $13,000 X51 as the major difference, and I'm wondering whether that would be discounted enough to offset the $6,700 savings by switching from a 4 to a 2.
I'm not sure whether my math makes sense to anyone, but any educated guesses from prior GTS models?

I think you can expect a GTS 2 X51 Cab to be less than a C4S Cab with the same specs... but if you switch you will probably push out delivery into Q1CY15 easily.
effectively yes, wide-body, X51, there will of course be significant, but superficial, cosmetic differences, GTS will probably have CL wheels and alacantara interiors (as options) and will probably sport some or all of the
Sport Design pkg aero etc... coupe might even have SPASM as std...

Most important question is will the GT3's upgraded steering calibration be included for the GTS.
If they don't it would be a major disappointment. I would assume they will hopefully.
I am working on finalizing my build (https://rennlist.com/forums/991/8357...991-build.html). I think I am going to wait a little bit for the Porsche news and may be go for 991 gts. Meanwhile I have to say that I hope I don't see this "350z / VW golf R" exhaust on this new beauty ! For me that is a major disappointment !!
they might drop the 50th unless they haven't sold out yet?
I'd be surprised if they launch the RS and the GTS at the same time! - Geneva
The 50th has been sold out in terms of being available to configure. There are 3 new 50th models on cars.com. However, I'm not convinced these are nothing more than "phishing" cars that are sold.
I've owned a GTS and currently own a 50th. The latter is a limited edition with badging/plaque and is unique to the anniversary model.
The GTS is likely to be the mechanical twin of the 50th, with only cosmetics distinguishing the two. If the GST abandons the quad PFS in favor or center pipes (as rumored), I'll be quite content to keep my 50th (and special paint and seats).

Thanks....drove a 50th couple months ago & nice car all around. Limited color
availability held me back, but otherwise a great package!
