Configurator on the 50th anniversary edition is now up and running.

Correction: very limited personalization is available now. Just basics so far.

I am so loving this new (old) color on the model. There is no way I will be able to order this one this year (unless some hedgies/traders in here wanna help me out).

When I do get my 911, I am gonna copy features from this extremely limited run 911.

Looking forward to it

I doubt it will be a problem. Except for the paint, fabric, and the chrome bits, I'll bet this shows up as the GTS model in the very near future at similar price.

I like the special badging and touches, but not into the color choices. I guess I just love plain boring white. The gf says if it came in white, she would want me to get it. Instead she's happy with what we got now and only the new gt3 and future gts would appeal to both of us. Buying a car that we both like makes it a lot easier for me to get it.

I'm not really hung up on special editions, unless they offer a lot of added value. And admittedly I haven't really dug deep into the micorsite, but at first glance I see very little added value in this case. The only things that appeal to me are the wide body in combination with the 2 wheel drive and the GT3 style mirrors. The rest is marketing BS to me.

are those REAL vents on the rear bumper just above the badging? I dont like the look of it but maybe its functional as the car runs "hot" imo.

Love it, speaks to me more than a GT3.

If you like manual and only occasionally take the car to the track yes.
Neither the GT3 with the available seats or this one is great on track.

Gawd, yes!

Seriously, they'll be making 991 GT3's for years to come.

They are only making 1963 of these... and these are FRIGGIN' gorgeous.

But, in the name of all that is holy and right, order this car in a manual transmission.

The only question you should have is which of the special colors to order.

I look at it this way - Car is going to be a DD, about 10K/yr. No track (that's what the bike is for). Overall I decided to pull the trigger on the C2S special edition in Geyser Grey

991 spec ed
Pros
manual transmission
probably less depreciation
Wide body
Power kit

Con
Seats
Color (I prefer plain white but the light gray looks pretty good)

991 GT3
Pros
More HP
Aero (I love that spoiler)
Available in white

Cons
Need to get front axle lift
? reliability
PDK
No back seat
