This fellow postulates that Porsche owners simply can’t afford a Ferrari and we have to settle for a Porsche.
Maybe someone can leave a comment on his vid.

“Drive” ... I’d like to know many miles an average Porsche racks up compared to an average Ferrari

I truly do not get the impression he is putting anybody down for their choice of car. Ferraris and Porsches are obviously both great car brands with proud histories on the track and in the "real world". Live and let live. Everybody has their own reasons for what they like or buy.

I put a comment on his video before. Said that I needed the back seats so my kid can enjoy the rides along with my wife as a family sometimes, and I wanted a car that was not just a point A to point A car (eg. Drive to a cars and coffee or do a group run and the drive right back to my garage). It’s nice to have a sports car that you can just park in a mall or restaurant without having to worry about it, but I guess if you’re really rich, you don’t care. He doesn’t have kids, so the back seats don’t matter to him. Oh, and did say I would like to own an F430 one day, but in a manual (his F430 before and current 458 are flappy paddle). He finances his Fcars, and I personally don’t like to finance...like to buy outright.

When I bought my 997 GT3, I could have bought a 355, 360, 575, 430 for the same price. Or I could have spent a bit more if I waited longer and bought a 550, 599, or various other Ferrari's. My choice for buying a Porsche was because when I was young, I'd walk into our local Porsche dealer, would look at all of the cars and it was a dream at the time to own them. The employees would give me posters, calendars and various books to take home. I think that left an impression on me. Then I started driving some of them and taking rides in friends cars and it proved how great they were. Then I bought one. Didn't have anything to do with not being able to afford a Ferrari.
Oh and while the maintenance can be more on some Ferrari's, if you find the right mechanic, you shouldn't have that much higher prices.

He’s a guy trying to sell his own “supercar consulting” services. It serves him to put down Porsche and praise Ferrari. Anyone that knows cars understands that Ferraris are lovely but need far more attention than a Porsche. Modern Ferraris still borrow from the Fiat parts bin. Enough said. Lastly whatever happens please don’t post another one of those videos without a warning. Having to look at that guys face and hear his voice is torture.

Porsche owners say the same thing about Corvette owners.
Corvette owners say the same thing about Mustang/Camaro owners.
Mustang/Camaro owners say the same thing about...well, there's not much left down here at the totem pole. Maybe a Golf GTI?

Which is the unfortunate part for sure. If you’re a car guy, you’re a car guy to me. Whatever you choose to drive is fine with me as long as you’re respectful and nice. We all choose to drive a different car for financial reasons but typically because our personalities are different. I’d never put someone down that didn’t want to spend $50k+ on a car. Some of the best cars out there are $20-50k, I’d say.

I would prob rent a Ferrari to get it out of my system but no car brings about the passion I feel for porache.
I am sure there are tons of Ferrari owners who feel the same about Ferrari.
affording isn’t entirely relatively. Many Gt3/ targa/turbo owners here could easily buy a Ferrari.

I've had two Ferraris and now a 991.2 Carrera. Ferraris are an experience and and can be a PITA.
Expensive to operate, somewhat unreliable, impossible to modify. Most don't drive them much with the reason they " won't remain special". Translation is they are not reliable enough for daily driving. Ferrari owners put up with so much to have a Ferrari. Sorry after 20 years of ownership, would never have another.
