    Hi Tim,
Sorry about the delay. Just saw your message!
The dog bed is perfect for a large dog as it gives them a big playpen to stretch out in. Halifax is east of Portland Maine, so to get to the USA, I have to drive all around the Bay of Fundy. It is a long drive. Last week I took the 911 with my wife and dog on a drive to Maine, NYC, Delaware and Philly. It was 17 hours each way. No complaints at all!

The basic setup was done in a few minutes at a foam shop. The woman cut the foam to fit under the rear seat back, so when the seat back folded down, the foam compressed a bit and stayed in place. She then cut a filler piece to fit behind the driver/passenger seat to make a level platform with the rear folded seats.

I also added a heavy mat from Home Depot. I used cardboard to make a template for the back area AND added a tongue to cover the center arm rest for the pups paws. Let me know if it work!! Thanks Tim! Very kind of you. Peter

I saw your foam construction for the backseat. Great work and thanks for sharing. I have a golden retriever. Right now I am driving a 2001 986, but I am buying a 2013 4s And I want to put together the same thing you did. Any chance you are in the Bay Area? Wonder if I could go to same place you did to put together that set up. Tim.
