We’ve hit the peak now it will just be a slow descend back down to normal which could take a year or who knows how long.
Yes the market is still “hot” but not what it used to be 30 days ago.

Yes the market is still “hot” but not what it used to be 30 days ago.
"Prices for used cars and trucks leapt again, by 10.5%, in June, according to the Labor Department, contributing to an overall rise in the consumer-price index and further stoking fears of U.S. inflation.“We have a long way to go before prices come down,” said Tyson Jominy, an auto analyst with research firm J.D. Power.
Even if auto makers are able to get their factories fully running again by year-end, vehicle prices have increased so rapidly, it will be at least a year before they normalize, he said.

Black/black '18 C2 (ad says "all wheel", but I think it's a C2), PDK, under 10K miles, CPO; $105.9K. Holy smokes.

How close is KBB staying with used car pricing?
Still in the ball park?
My old sled went up in value by 8 - 15K

They are usually behind by 30 days.. especially on trade-in/private party... Its a network run by foks who have interest in the dealer network. It is not an independent unbiased source, they also look at Auction data and adjust accordingly, but it takes a few weeks.
Temporary trends like current ones take longer. Inventory isnt improving any time soon (not before end of year) so this trend will continue for now.

If y'all think *that's* idiocracy, just wait until you find out about anti-vaxxers during a global pandemic, QAnon believers, the MyPillow guy, Four Seasons Total Landscaping, flat-earthers...and on and on...

Could really use all of your help urgently! I’m thinking about closing on a deal but not if its just too ridiculous of a time to buy!
Currently, I’ve seen 4gts’s (with 10-20k miles) for around 135k-150k and turbo s’s (with 10 to 30k miles) in the 160-180k range. Someone made mention that current prices are 20-30k above “normal”. So in line with this would normal values of gts snd turbo s’s be 100k and 130k respectively? If not, what would these values have been for a 4 gts or turbo s during “normal” times?
Thanks!!

Three Wheelin'
paraphrasing Rodney, why can't they all just be idiots?
pretending idiocy is limited to only one end of the spectrum leaves so many idiots un-called-out.
(admin, please delete this post and the ones above that precipitated it as none have a place in a 991 pricing discussion)

What you are talking about is some random individual's opinions or beliefs - who cares? Who even has time to worry about non-sense like that? Trying to change someone's opinion and degrading them for their beliefs is a loser's existence, similar to bloodthirsty totalitarian regime's of the past. Stay relevant, these economic issues effect everyone and printing money is stupid and the effects are long-lasting - we aren't talking about a group of a few people that might have hurt your delicate feelings because of what they believe in.

"Infinite money printing" is the capstone course for all Econ majors - how foolish of me to forget.

I'm pretty sure the entire concept of a discussion forum is random individual's opinions. I'm not trying to change anyone's opinion. Fiscal policy is debatable, it's not something that one can define as clearly and objectively wrong...like people believing the Covid vaccine alters your DNA, or that some edgelord sysadmin on a board mostly dedicated to conspiracy theories, **** and white supremacy was a government insider, or that the earth is flat. I'm not sure you've seen the movie Idiocracy, but the irony seems to escape you in how you're using the term - again, the effects of stimulus checks is something that can be debated intelligently, it's not a sign we're living in idiocracy. The actual evidence for that are all the things I've listed above. Anti-vaxxers. QAnon. Flat earth believers. People that lack critical thinking skills believe these things.
Lastly, just want to point out the delicious irony in your statements :
"Trying to change someone's opinion and degrading them for their beliefs is a loser's existence..."
followed by
"Stay relevant, these economic issues effect everyone and printing money is stupid and the effects are long-lasting..."
LOL.
