True but, the 991.2 seems to be outpacing the .1 as enthusiasts seem to place a premium on the turbo cars as they are better in every way except sound, which is very subjective....

big time. I’m shopping the whole country though, looking forward to a flight and long drive when I buy one.

Agree w above post that asking prices have probably gone up more than actual sales prices. The 991.1 is the last NA Carrera and it appears the market values that. Even 981 Cayman GT4 prices are very strong - barely $10-20k cheaper than a new GT4 in some cases. On the other hand the .2 has been superseded by the 992 thus it’s value has diminished.

That said, $75k for a .1 with a manual is a much cheaper option than any modern GT3. The

Cheers,
NF.

Market demand will dictate price and flexibility in actual sales price. Not much room in today’s market due to limited inventory

The sound is not subjective, the 991.2 does not compare in regards to sound. What is subjective is that the 991.2 is better in every way. Many people do not like the way the 991.2 lags.

I've been shopping since the summer and had a couple of close calls on some 991.1 C2Ss. The stop sale is definitely artificially lowering supply so I don't think we will see prices normalize until it is lifted.

I agree the 991.2 lacks sound but it also lacks the proper power delivery. Example, with the 991.2 you get peak torque down low which really messes with the driving experience. The beauty of the naturally aspirated 991's is power and torque increase as the rpms increases which gives it a more gt3 power delivery experience. This is just my friendly opinion having owned both.

Is there any chance this thread could NOT turn into another .1 vs. .2 pissing contest? Never mind. I know with answer. Carry on.

I don't think many of us will be getting s*hit, we get to pay the bills though. Expect an increase in your bill to enable this. Not saying it is right or wrong, just expect an increase in what you "owe".

Hmmm... 2013 c2s cab in MT, agate gray with 46k miles. New transmission, clutch and flywheel 200 miles ago. Don’t want to sell, but the prices are tempting.
