I've had my RR Racing supercharged 991.1 for a couple of weeks and was trying to hold off on posting any driving impressions until I was able to track it. But with the Covid-19 pandemic with no clear end in sight, it looks like my opportunity to get on a track might be a while so I thought I'd share my experience with some "spirited" road driving.
The first thing I can say is that the power increase is transformational. I'd previously done a tune and sports exhaust hoping for a little more "seat of the pants" power but was disappointed. If there was any increase I couldn't feel it but I never dyno'd it either. I considered looking for a 991.2 GTS but just couldn't find one I really liked well enough to give up my nicely spec'd 4S. When RR Racing announced their supercharger kit I jumped at the opportunity, but only after talking with my local indie shop and Rafi Raban of RR Racing.
What I love about the power increase is the way you can accelerate out of corners. I'm not much of a 0-60 guy although you can definitely feel the extra hp off the line. But the real fun for me is having that extra power transitioning out of a corner. I've found that I have to be a little more careful on applying the throttle too early after apex as it's a little easier to overdo it now. I think the supercharger will force me to be a better driver and I look forward to a Barber or Roebling HPDE.
I also suspect that, at some point, the extra power will reveal some shortcomings (besides my driving) in other areas. It'll be interesting to see how the stock brakes hold up with a little extra deceleration required on a track day. Probably work the suspension a little harder, as well.
One thing I didn't anticipate is the sounds the supercharger and blow off valve make. You can really hear them working as you push the car. I have Soul long tube headers and valved-exhaust and the sound is intoxicating.
Let me end by saying there are a lot of other guys on this forum with more experience than me driving high-powered sports cars and their viewpoints would probably be a lot more enlightening on how the supercharger changes the car. What I can say is that the power increase is dramatic and just makes it that much more fun to drive. Let's hope this quarantine eases up soon so we can get our cars to the track!

Great to hear you're really liking it after putting a few more miles on it. It's be nice chatting with you as you were finishing up the supercharging process with RR as customer 1, and as I started as customer 2. Rafi said mine should be on the dyno on Monday, so hopefully I'll be able to experience the newfound power later next week. Beyond the dramatic power increase , I'm also keen to hear the new sounds from the soul catless headers and supercharger components. To those interested, I'll post my review in a few weeks
We are finishing up the PDCC(Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control) brackets and should have the kit fully compatible with the PDCC cars this week! Dyno coming up next.

Dang, one click on the 991 forum this morning and I'm thinking my car may now be a keeper
Certainly messes with the thought of trading in my .1s for a tuned .2, gap on that is $20-30k, let the mental justification begin.
Already have the sport bumper with extra radiator duct, PDCC bottle and belt need to be changed anyways, don't really need two old M5s, could eat some GT3s at the track for half price, hmmmm....

I live in CA- and last time I took in my Audi for a smog check, they just did a computer check and that was it... no actual emissions test because it was Quattro AWD. Would that be the case nowadays too with the 4S?
