Rafi, can these be back-dated for 997.2's? I have a personal friend who has toyed with the idea with a 997.2S. He is local (Berwyn). Let me know.

I can say my interaction with RR racing recently has been spot on and very clear. I am still on the fence on building the engine or putting there super charger on but there correspondence with me has been great thus far. I hope to make a decision by the end of the year.

So we recently got a call from a prospective customer contemplating a $35k 4.5L engine build vs SC. That got me thinking and doing some research. I don’t mean to detract from the engine build (I totally respect it and we may be dabbling in engine builds in the future once it’s time to rebuild ours) but this comparison is sort of apples & oranges on 2 grounds. First, engine build is more that 2x the price. Second, the dyno numbers posted are very optimistic given the hub dyno numbers. I estimate our Stage 2 setup makes 80-100hp over any NA build of the 3.8 Carrera/GT4 engine.

In any case, I hope some built GT4 guys post some numbers so we can compare, although I think we can do better than this without the big wing and aero on our shop car:

I need a little more time with the car before I write down my thoughts, but so far, this project was money well spent.

I have unfortunately barely seen the car as it has been in with Porsche getting new interior parts, suspension components and now its out getting paint.

I would love to hear how you like the setup and what your thoughts are. Are you going to be tracking the car or just for enjoyment? Did you install or have RR Racing install the kit.

thank you

Oof. The exhaust on that car sounds so good. Also, I’d be surprised if that car goes for sale under $100K given the GTS market and the supercharger.

Yeah, the Porsche market is supercharged too these days. Should go for 150 min is my bet.

Is water/meth required to supercharge?

I’m interested in supercharging my 991.1 but the hassle of having to deal with refilling a separate tank means the car is suddenly no longer all that practical for extended road trips.

Hi… the only time you’re going to consume a lot of water methanol is at the track where you are on throttle continuously for 20min+ at a time. In real world use I think most will find they have to fill up the water/meth once every 2-3 gas fillups, especially with our new slightly larger aluminium tank:

Also keep in mind, GT2RS also has a frunk mounted water tank for the Intercooler water spray.

Here's a little RR Racing supercharger action to kick off the new year. These numbers are based on a C4S with cats installed. SC kits are in stock right now. Message us for pricing and details. There is no better way to improve the power and driving experience for a 991.1 N/A Porsche.

Dang, the car sold for 106k. Total steal. Happy owner. Guess it had some CEL issues.
Missed the auction through Xmas, too much other stuff to do. Someone scored big time.

Here's a follow up to the last dyno we posted. We had a chance to shoot a little street action before sending this one off. This video also gives you an idea of just how tame and mild mannered the car will be for every day driving if you hear the car idling at the end.

Every time I see updates I get so tempted. But the OBD checks for CA emissions always kill the dream.

I love the sound and that power increase is super enticing.
