Installed GT3RS side skirts on my GTS

Hi all,
Can someone PLEASE help with this query. Is there any way the more aggressive GT3RS .2 skirts can be fitted cleanly to a 997.1 4S?
These are the P/N for the 991 skirts.

Any assistance would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
K.

Are the Skirts the GT3RS standard or the RS Flared Side Skirts
Are the Skirts the GT3RS or the RS Flared Skirts?
Installed the GT3RS side skirts on my Chalk GTS recently. Special thanks to Eric @ Salter Aero helping me to source and install them. Picture can't do justice to the visual impact this little mod had on the car. The Porsche side stripe fits well with the GT3RS side skirt as well. Enjoy the pics.

It's an easy mod, just did it last night and it took about an hour. The PIA is the screw that's behind the rear wheel liner ( not the two you can see on the underside of the skirt.) On the new skirts I had to trim some material away so that the metal clip would slide in a little deeper to allow that screw to line up. You will see what I mean once you start the install. Just remember to pull the old skirt toward you and not down. If you don't re-use the old plastic clips, make sure to take the new ones off and push them into the rocker then slide the new skirt on. If you don't, the last three clips at the rear won't seat up in the rocker properly. The first side took 45 min to figure out and the other one was off and on in minutes. I wish I would have taken some pictures to help show the install.

This is great info!...Thank you for the details...I'm gonna need them!...I'm placing my order today along with a couple other pieces....I'll post a photo or two and and an update when I get the time to do the install. Thanks again for adding these tips, it's these little things that end up making this application clean as possible...

Lastly, the material you removed....was it a bit of the plastic where the arrow identifying the clip is located in your photo?...You use shears or a Dremel to trim it?...Thanks!

When you pull the clip off just trim some of the plastic with a razor blade. Its very soft and easy to cut so just be careful trimming it. Test fit you rocker on first to see how much you might need to bring the clip in to make it line up with the tab on the car. You will understand once you look it over and fit it in. I had to move the clips in (toward the outside of the skirt) about 1/8 inch. Otherwise it put a lot of pressure on the skirt and wanted to pull it away from the edge of the rocker. Another option would be to drill another hole in the metal tab on the car, but I thought this was much easier. You will have the gap like everyone else has posted but I hardly notice it.

Finally got around to installing the .2RS skirts I purchased from GetPorscheParts on Black Friday on my .1 C4S and they are AMAZEBALLS. Seriously, I didn't think something so simple could utterly transform the look of the car from almost all angles but it has. The difference from the stock skirts is night and day. I honestly thought they might be too big when I saw them on the first time but I quickly got over that. They're stunning.
Some notes on the install that may help future modders.
1. As mentioned, you have to trim back the tab that holds the slip-nut that secures the screw behind the rear wheel well liner (see post #251 above). I measured the tab on my stock skirts as 2.25" so I tried to match that (did better on the 2nd skirt). It really helps "suck in" the skirt towards the center of the car at the rear-most point. I then attached the slip-nut and punched/drilled a hole to match (3/16" worked for me).
(NOTE: The half hole you see is the original hole. You could ballpark the trim to the halfway mark of that hole.)
2, In order for the rear 2 horizontal fasteners (the large, black slotted "screws" that insert into the white "nuts" that attach to the body and come on the new skirts) to properly snap into place, you need to widen the holes on the new skirts about 1/8"-3/16". I used an emery bit on my dremel to remove some material in the direction of the outside of the skirt (away from the car). I didn't do this on the driver's side and couldn't secure the fasteners, but then did so on the passenger side and they fit correctly. I'll have to tackle the driver's side again at some point.
3. Finally, no one has mentioned this before so maybe I'm special but I released A TON of dirt, rocks and road debris from all the fastener holes and especially the rear wheel liners. I guess that was 8 years and 45k miles worth of gunk. Makes me want to take all the underbody panels off and clear it all out.
Here's the final result (I also installed the S-PASM lip spoiler, RGS grilles and black headlight washers). Love the look of my stock+ beast right now! Yes, the gap is there and it's hard not to notice when you're looking for it. I'm going to see if I can live with it and if not, I'll consider one of the solutions above.
