Here is my attempt at "correcting" the fitment. If you press hard on right in the middle of the tension zone, you can see it seems like it is possible to get it flush. My theory was to get the fitment of the plastic retainer a little deeper to the outside of the skirt, it will help push in the skirt.

It did work but the difference in minimal

Here is before

Nice job, LWG. The after pic shows a smoother transition. Seems to be a lot of work for not much difference. Now we know!

I would say just a a minute or two for the ones performing the installation in the future. These things are super easy to get off and on, and for this experiment I just popped out the back two torx screws and slide the skirt off to try this. Transition is smother - overall its acceptable in general. Tried my best!

I think it's a huge improvement! Wish I'd seen it before I got mine installed and all slathered in caulk 🙄

I feel that I should get some commission from getPorscheparts by starting this thread.

Many people still talk about the gap. It's been almost a year since I installed the skirts and the gap still don't bother me a bit.

Here is a recent pic of the car.

Mine came in today but noticed that the part number written on the skirt is different than what’s on the white sticker. Is this accurate?

Looking great!!! Please let us know the next time you need anything - we'll certainly help out on your next order as a way to say thanks!

Yes - that's a manufacturing part # and will often differ from the actual Porsche part # that's on the white label. Thanks again!

I did not want to use caulk to plug the gap so I designed a plate and after a number of prototypes ended up with this. It's not perfect but the gap is plugged : )

Love the "engineered" approach. If you want to sell a set, let me know
