Did you have a coolant leak/water pump replaced?

Tell your dealer you’ll be happy to call your regional PCNA rep to take care of it if they won’t. You can find them online for each region of the country.

Bought 2017 C4S 14K miles over Memorial Day. 2 weeks later pink puddle in my driveway (maybe a quart or two of antifreeze.) Dealer had car almost a week and told me must have been air in coolant lines and just burped some fluid out through overflow reservoir. When I pressed them on water pump, they told me service records indicated it had already been replaced and all looked good.
Fast forward to 2 days ago - puff of sweet smelling smoke, turn engine off now warning message and stuck on side of road. I told dealer don't give me car back with same water pump in it and change out the thermostat and vacuum valve lock while they have it apart. Got a song and dance about Porsche may not cover the other parts. I told them that since my car supposedly already had a replacement pump, something (potentially leftover damage from first time the pump went) caused this and I do not want to get stuck roadside again. Still waiting for a verdict...
Anyone have any ideas on what else I should be pointing these guys at given i've had MULTIPLE water pump failures now ?
Thanks,
Scott

Update: Dealer confirmed second water pump dead - but also that the original water pump failed only 1200 miles ago. Presuming that only 1200 miles ago means the now dead replacement was one of the newer design parts, I’m worried what else is wrong with the rest of the system. CarFacts shows this car was out of state until I bought it, so I don’t think my dealer did the last water pump. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcomed.

Just bought a used 2017 Carrera S with 12 K mi on it. After taking it home, noticed small puddles of pink coolant on the floor just under what I think is the water pump pulley. Not near the overflow tank. Checked the coolant level and the red ball is in the MIN slot. No electronic indication of low coolant level yet. Will contact the dealer for potential repair info. I hope I can drive to the dealership because they are 80+ mi away and a tow would be very expensive (so of course is a blown motor).

2017 C2S 7MT with issue
Just took my car in for oil change at 25k and they found coolant. They are replacing water pump. I'll have car back in a couple of days. First replacement for me. I did not notice anything with the car prior to them noticing.

My 18' 991.2 Carrera S - 6.800miles / 11.000km - started leaking coolant last weekend. It's under warranty, and the water pump will be replaced.
I'm waiting the part to arrive at my dealer.

Do you know when your car was built and/or when did you collect it from the showroom, if you’re the first owner? Thanks!

I know a guy with AAA Premium at a track event 300+ miles from home, had engine failure, and AAA Premium coverage. They flatbedded his car to his Indie shop and dropped him off at his house at no charge.
Don't quote me, but my recollection is AAA Plus is around $115/ year, and Premium maybe $135/year, 2 cars, 2 members.

What would a water pump cost, if my 2017 fails after it goes out of warranty in 3 years??

It was build in 2017 - I don't which month - Model Year 2018. It was collected on January 3, 2018.. I'm the second owner.
I've bought this car 10 days ago, coming from a 14' 991 C2S.
