Did you have a coolant leak/water pump replaced?

You know, I am a Porsche guy to the bone since I was about 10. Been to the Porsche museums in Germany and Austria a few times. Been to the private residence of Porsche in Austria where the family is buried, etc. but these water pump failures (or maybe the percentage is small because you hear about them on Rennlist) at no miles is ridiculous. Water pumps on all my daily driver cars last far longer than 120,000 miles...period!

Ask to speak with the service manager and/or call Porsche directly. If they aren't convinced, show them this thread with pictures.

Looks like I just joined the 991.2 coolant leak club. 2019 Carrera T with 13,000 miles. Build date was October 2018 and the pump installed was the A version. My dealer just advise they are replacing a leaking pipe "adjoining the water pump" and not the pump itself. I wonder about that. Anyway if it's going to happen at least it happened under warranty. We'll see.
I guess the "A" model water pump was stilling being installed in October of 2018.

Very interesting. My ‘19T was delivered in August of 2018 so guessing around a May of ‘18 build? I will keep an eye on it.

I have the newer water pipe like yours as a spare, but that involves removing the water pump to install it when that time comes.
Simply incredible that this has not been sorted out.

I've followed these leaks for a while. They either leak from the coolant pump or the plastic pipe joint at the thermostat housing. The latter is an easy fix unless the plastic pipe is cracked or broken.

Anyone ever deal with a situation of Red Low Coolant warning, water pump was replaced, 3 vacuum lines have been replaced, system holds pressure, but still getting this error.... dealer is trying to solve this, but still a WIP
His email states that is what the dealer said. It is not a coolant pump leak.

Car has been living at the dealer for quite a while this year. No staff, no parts and lots of delays.
