what would you change in 991
Thinking about what I don't like about my car. Surprisingly there isn't much. I find the 30 min drive to and fro work to be some of my best man cave moments of my life.
with that said, i do have some tiny niggles. I hope to hear yours too.
1. auto engine start/stop should definitely be off on default normal mode
2. i wish windshield wipers swung right to left rather than left to right (i'm left hand driving) I hate when i sprinkle a tiny washer to clean my windshield only to get that nasty line of water and washer deposit vertically on the left end of the windshield right in my sight line. have the wiper wipe the other way and give it to the passenger!
3. front seat ISOFIX mount option. I didn't realize with this option, while great that my daughter can sit up front with me, the seat no longer reclines fully back, due to some odd safety reasons. wife hates it because she cant lay back and take nap. I should have read the fine print. I wouldn't have got it if I knew this either.
4. i wish there was an option to keep wing from deploying when I don't want it to deploy.
That's it! what a super enjoyable and incredibly well engineered car.

Move the parking brake switch to the console!

The car drives beautifully, so my wishes are picayune:
1. Shorter, narrower, and lower by about 5 percent
2. Less road noise
3. Accurate instruments
4. Better voice recognition
5. The option of a more traditionally styled Fuchs-type wheel
P.S. if the wipers swung the other way, they wouldn't clear the upper left corner of the windshield.

Dont have mine yet, so im sure my list will grow...
-"entry and drive" keyess should have push-button to start & stop. Dummy key is lame.
-leather steering wheel should get deviated stitching to match the rest of GTS interior package's deviated stitching
-6 speed box (vs. 7)
-prefer the .1 quad exhaust tips
-more agressive rear wing option (than the sport design mini ducktail that I ordered)Think 997 Turbo or 996 factory aero kit
-sport mirrors should be optioned with painted bases(as .1s had)
-radiator inlets should be equipped with better protection from the factory
-satin black centerline wheels ceramic coated from factory
-rear hip PPF should actually cover higher and be high quality clear-like best aftermarket
2 things Porsche (across model range) that I found undesirable:
Porsche ED is not very user-friendly and 991 residuals (for purpose of leasing) are ridiculously conservative. MFs are atrocious= double neg

All Porsches should have a unique engine sound that lets you know....that is a Porsche. When a Ferrari is driven down the road...you know it is a Ferrari. How embarrassing is it when someone thinks your Porsche 991.2 is cool and they want to hear the roar of your engine only to hear a ***** cat sound. Great exhaust sound should not cost xtra....

Assinine parking brake location, poorly executed hill hold, steering isn't as sharp as before electric. Car feels bigger than it is. Mostly all nits.

I wish the engine had a traditional dipstick, so I can check oil level directly and use my oil extractor to drain the oil. Also, I wish the calipers allowed the pads to be removed/installed from the top of the calipers. Otherwise, I'm happy with the car.

I agree with the parking brake comment. I don’t like the location of the switch.
As a cabriolet owner, I’d like to have one-touch operation of the top from the factory.

Its a great box from the factory (top 5% out there for sure)... but it should come with better pedals and shift ****. Seriously. C'mon Porsche.
