I agree 100% If the car did not have the dummy key, a vital part of what makes a 911 a Porsche is the key, to the left of the steering wheel like it's always been. For me, the 911 has been a dream since my youth. I cannot make assumptions about others and why they would prefer a push button start other than they prefer the modern aspect of a push to start button over the more "classic" solution Porsche has devised....which I love. I have daily drivers (Japanese) with push button start and that's just fine. My 911 although modern, has the ignition where it's supposed to be and I get to twist it just like the cars of yesteryear.

Here's my two complaints.
1- I don't like the way the dash lights work. Why not light them all up all the time?
2- No room for a water bottle in the door pockets

Wish the car had 100% analog gauges
Wish there was a proper 6 speed manual with shorter gears (second should top out at 65mph, 3rd at 85mph)
Lighter
Better access to engine for maintenance or something easier to get the bumpers off.

It's unfortunate that the auto start stop cannot be permanently defeated. I believe it make the car less safe and have to think that all the extra duty cycles of the starter motor cannot be favorable in terms of its durability.

I can't speak to Porsche, but I'm virtually certain my BMW uses a secondary starter for the auto stop/start functionality. Anyone know how Porsche handles it?

There is a device that defeats the Auto Start/Stop function in addition to keeping your car in Sport mode upon startup. I've been thinking of getting one. To get info, Google "T-Design Memory Module."

PAG Infotainment sucks. But I do not care..
Make Turbos a turbo and leave the rest NAs.
Make 6sp MT a mainstream option.
Spare tire.
Bumperless oil change and in general more focus on serviceability.
Make No Start/Stop being default and in general less needless "smartness" (e.g., wipers move when ignition off).
Make parking brake manual again or at least electronic one to operate in proper (reverse) operational direction.
Make remote entry/drive not to open your frunk when you hose washing the car with the fob in your pocket.
Smaller keyfob.

Just put the keys inside the car while you wash it.

if you thumb down the top of the door handle with the keys inside the car, will it lock the car as it normally does? I was always petrified of keeping my keys in the car and locking my car but maybe Porsche has designed the key so it will not do this?

Car will not lock with the keys in the car - Porsche already thought of this safety measure

Will the frunk and engine compartment still open though? I kept running into that with my BGTS. Now I just lock it and leave the fob on my car wash supply shelf.

Gear ratios.... Shorter. Much shorter... Don't much care if the car tops out at 155 instead.... It'd be a rocket with shorter 1-2-3 gears...
