New 991.2 GTS allocation Thread

now that delivery is getting closer, the next decision is PPF or not to PPF. Where do you guys stand once you get delivery?
I have to drive up from LA to the San Francisco area so wondering if I should get PPF before or after the drive.
Any recommendations for great installers in the LA area or San Francisco region?

I ended up scheduling with jeremy from invisiguard because he offered the best pricing. Will let you know how it goes, but its way out in october lol.

Finally....had my money in since March and was losing faith in the process. The allocation came through last week although the dealer forgot to tell me Got a vmail last night while at the movies seeing Mission Impossible (fitting after a 6 month wait on this car build) that my complete date is Nov 9. I have a couple tweaks to make to my build, but this (PJIRSYY4) is pretty close. Likely going back to black slats and moving that money to carbon triangles. Although I daily my current 911, I wont on this one. Still a bit torn on the pccb and burmester. Neither high on need, but up there on want. Trying to stay ~150k. Excited!
I hope those still trying to get an allocation get good news soon too.

Just locked in my 2019 GTS order this morning! The order is already at the front of the queue, with the car specs being locked in this Friday, so I was able to change the order to my spec in the nick of time. Late Oct/early Nov with the LA Porsche Experience Center delivery

There were 3 things on this build sheet from the factory/dealership that weren't on the build configurer that I printed:
1. 027 - Tachometer Dial in Carmine Red - i'm not sure why this was listed since I only selected the GTS interior package which has it as part of the package. I'm guessing that's just how they list it from the factory?
2. ZAB - Ornamental Porsche Crest - I didn't select a Porsche crest add on anywhere. Does anyone know why this is list and where this crest would be on the car?
3. ZAC - No sunroof - I did not select either of the sunroofs available, but for some reason this is listed out here.
There were also 2 items that were listed on my configurer builder sheet that aren't on the official factory build sheet that was sent to me:
1. 487 - 7-speed manual transmission - I'm guessing this just isn't listed but there is no added cost or PDK listed on the official build sheet.
2. 449 - 20" 911 Turbo S wheels - My guess is this wasn't listed because these are the factory stock wheels for this model. But still, didn't show up on the official sheet.

The bad news is what was supposed to be a early/mid November delivery (the SA thought as early as late October), is now scheduled for Dec 12th delivery to the LA Porsche Experience Center. Can anyone here lend insight into how much earlier than 12/12 I may be able to expect it with LA delivery? I heard the set date is always a worst case scenario, but I'm not sure how much they can realistically move the date up.

About a month earlier if you do not chose the Porsche Experience Delivery. It takes a while to get your car there since they only deliver 2 cars per day (1 in the am and 1 in the pm) and there is a lot of demand since there are only 2 (1 in LA and 1 in Atlanta).

That explains the delay. Thanks for the info.

Trust me, I wish I had the time to do that! I really wanted a 991.2 prior to them discontinuing them for the 992. So instead of waiting until next year when I could have done Zuffenhausen and potentially missing the train, I decided to jump on it and do the LA experience.

Thanks! I'll be calling the dealer first thing tomorrow to make sure. The tranny I'm sure is the manual since they didn't charge me anything extra, which they would have for the PDK. But I'm not sure about the wheels...
