Auto Tariff -- A New Windfall of Cash
I for one was pleased to hear Mr. Trump is going to play ball with the EU. I was not pleased about a potential $39,000 increase in the price of my 911 GTS.
Oddly, it feels like I just received an unexpected bonus.
I am looking forward to taking delivery of my 2019 in November. The build takes place in mid-September.

No consumer would have seen a price increase if the tariff was raised. Porsche would have eaten the cost, just like every other manufacturer until it was settled as it would not have lasted too long if it went into effect.

If anyone still needs and allocation for a C2 GTS, I just gave mine up for Turbo allocation. September 1st lock, October build, December delivery. Call Z.A. Konarski at Strong Porsche in Salt Lake. 801-580-0911.

Loeber Motors has a 2019 Targa GTS allocation available and with time to build to spec. I used Tony Taylor when I bought my 2016 C4S, CPO from him a few weeks back. Highly recommend Tony.

Whats your port & your config/build?

Here is my build. We have a very similar order! I deliberated for a while on if I should keep the CL or not. I did. My current Panamera is black so I wanted something that is much easier to maintain.
When I mentioned San Diego, I meant the port entry. My car is going to Newport Beach Porsche. Are you picking yours up from San Diego Porsche?
My SA said good chance it'll be here earlier than my expected date listed below but customs could slow it down.
Here is a vessel tracker too:

So here's my "dilemma", I started casually looking for a C2 GTS allocation, hoping that delivery would occur next Mar/Apr since I live in the Chicago area and the GTS would be my weekend, dry weather car (I just bought an 18' M3 as my kid hauling daily driver). I found out today that my local SA has an allocation for a mid-Sept lock/end Dec delivery. So I'm trying to decide whether to A) take the allocation and stare at the GTS in my garage for 3 months or B) pass on the allocation and hope that I can find another allocation with delivery in March or later. This would be my first Pcar so I'm unaware of how difficult/easy it is to find a C2 GTS allocation. If the answer is that I'll eventually get another allocation but the timing probably won't be perfect so I might have to wait until next summer or fall, then I could probably live with that. But if there's a realistic chance that I might not get an allocation before Porsche ceases 991.2 GTS production, then I'd obviously take this one.
Thanks in advance for your comments.

I spoke with my SA today about my build which will enter production Sept 28th with a NorCal delivery in mid December. I went V200 at the beginning of July a few days after yours, so I asked the question why is my car coming in December? compared to these other lucky people who are getting theirs in September. I was expecting a response that my order just missed some cut off and the next wave of cars would be coming out in December. However that was way off the mark... the response suggested that both of your builds are "fake".... I had to scratch my head at that suggestion, what would be the motivation for multiple people to fake builds? However on the other hand suggesting that they are fake simply diffuses my question of why my build is running 3 months behind. It seems we are living in an altered state of reality where someone can simply discredit legitimate information by calling it "fake news"... I never thought it would enter my porsche buying experience.
Overall I am feeling a little confused and underwhelmed about my first Porsche buying experience
Curious to hear from anyone with a GTS V200 (June/July) what is your V260 (enter body shop) and V900 (deliver)
Maybe I am just being impatient to get me hands on my GTS but on the other hand I would like to be able to trust the word of the folks I am handing over a $150K of my hard earned cash
Thanks in advance

Dealer allocations have dates, it’s not first come first served. Your allocation is for a late September production slot.
