Default New 991.2 GTS allocation Thread

Since some of us might be waiting for new 911 GTS allocations, I'd love to know when anyone gets a new allocation for the 2019 model year? So far the dealerships in my neck of the woods have not received any. Thanks

Got mine a couple of weeks ago. Dealer asked the regional group and they gave it to them right then. No wait for me for the allocation but now the real wait begins. July build 2019 GTS Cab.

It don't understand why these allocations seem to be randomly let out to different dealerships. Are these most recent allocations to exclusive, high volume or favored vendors?

its my understanding that allocations are assigned based on dealer volume. Also, if a dealership has a list of customers waiting for a model it may get allocations but it will assign them in the order of the list. Dealers can trade allocations with other dealerships too. Since all dealers are independent and some are owned by autonation and some are individually owned and some are part of a group they all probably have different mechanisms for trading/sharing allocations. I get the impression that the dealers that are part of autonation group (at least here in florida) are kind of a "every dealer for themselves" type operation and don't really share allocations.

As a result the advice I've heard is that you should check all dealers in Florida Unfortunately, none have allocations available.

FWIW my sales guy expects them to start freeing up later this summer.

There is some super secret normal allocation process that all dealers are subject to, but there are also periodically extra "pool" cars that the regional rep from PCNA can do with as he see fit. My dealer had no GTS allocations, and had nothing to trade another dealer for one last October. He cajoled an allocation from the regional rep from these pool cars to get my car. He actually didn't get the exact allocation, but it was one he could trade for what I wanted.

This thread is fortuitous....the dealer just called this morning to tell me an allocation is expected within a couple days! Car will be a 2019 as we all expect. I am building a higher spec car and just need to decide on color. Have it down to GT Silver or Chalk. If Silver, then may do the Porsche side stripes.

I am in Austin.

Anyone finding a 4 allocation or are we all sitting with RWD builds? Just curious what they are going to build for this short run. Any thoughts on resale forecast for a 1/2 year model run? Does it make a difference?

Euro Delivery adds an allocation to a dealer for a series car like the GTS. That's how I ordered my 2018 in Florida; no worry, no wait. (I planned 6 months in advance due to the high-demand late-spring ED date - allocation was not a problem but securing the date could have been.) Pickup scheduled for 24 May in Zuffenhausen.
