Took me 6 months to find a no option T, but mine had Bose and dimming mirrors, as close as I could get.
I like the no option thought process on this car.

Just got my T and drove it around a bit to start to get a feel for the manual. So far, awesome.
Quick question. What should I expect to see in terms of max PSI for boost under full throttle?
Thanks!

my son is only 11 but no way in hell he is ever driving any Porsche I have when he is of driving age. Way too young to be responsible on the street. Maybe autocrossing.

Congratulations! Hey, also... before you ask... the Manual Transmission is a little “knotchy” for the first few hundred miles. It get’s smoother with age. Also, don’t go over 4K rpm for the first 1,000 or 2,000 miles. We’ll all have to go back to the beginning of this thread to remember all of that!
Enjoy!

I swapped in a Numeric Racing shifter and voila. No more mis-shifts, I’m notably faster between gears, and getting into first is a non-issue. It’s a shame they don’t come like this from the factory.
Highly, highly recommend. (I have no affiliation with NR.)

Mine was still like that after 2 owners and 3,500 miles, especially first gear. I missed more 1-2 shifts in 2 months than I care to admit.

I read somewhere that Porsche changed the tightness of the stock shifter a few years ago, so the 2.0 is more like the 991.2 and the 1.5 is more like prior models.
I have zero problems with the 2.0 in gears 1-6. It’s a little stiff getting into 7, and I have to concentrate to get into reverse. But I wouldn’t want the lighter version. Very satisfied with the 2.0 overall.
I’d say if you like the tightness of stock go with 2.0. If you prefer it to be a little lighter then go 1.5.

don't worry about it. break in is old school BS. need 250-500 miles of low key driving to get the brakes settled but all this 1000-2000 mile is nonsense. a buddy of mine was formerly a porsche factory racing driver and said they and preuninger used to laugh about the "break in" people.

This doesn't apply to your shifter, but I thought I'd share a little known fact about how Porsche "breaks in" some of their engines. I did the Porsche factory tour in Stuttgart a few months ago, right before COVID-19 shut everything down, and the tour guide talked about how Porsche maintains quality control over their engines (while we were in the engine assembly area, naturally). Every engine is obviously checked for proper operation before it is mated to its car. But a small percentage, around 3% if I remember correctly, are subject to a very demanding stress test... I forgot the specifics but it is a brutal and lengthy test. If it passes, it is mated to its car, the owner none the wiser because Porsche intentionally does not annotate what engines were given the "special" test.
