The day I got the T, I let him drive it and he did well. He was so excited, and the look on his face when I told him to downshift to 3rd at 65mph and floor it was priceless.
First of all, new Carrera T owner here. I don't even have it yet. Should have it this weekend, or Monday. Not a single option. Just a white Carrera T manual. Looking at the info on VIN Analytics is funny. Just shows base car, white paint, and standard interior.

So...speaking of manual, I also taught my son on a manual. And I bought him a manual transmission car (Mazda6). I call the shifter the "anti-texting device". Granted, once you master it, you can still manage to fiddle with your phone and get yourself in trouble. But I think that when you are learning, you are not likely to fiddle with the phone. And after you master it, you are going to be more engaged and also less likely to mess with your phone. He is 19 yo now and loves driving a manual. He's even heel and toeing.

FWIW, my last 911 was a PDK, and it was great. But I am SO excited that this one is going to be a manual. I posted some photos on the 911T photo thread, but here is a different one that the rep took yesterday.

Awesome car! Pretty cool with no options at all ha. These cars don’t need them since the T already has the ones that matter. Looks great! You are going to love it.

Thanks! By the way, my 991.1 didn't have the 4-point DRLs. On the Carrera T, are there two sets of DRLs? One being the 4-points and the other being the strip under the headlamps (as per the photo of your car in your avatar)?

Just curious!

I believe all the 991.2 drls are the same, and yes they are white unless the turn signals are activated.

Got it. I had assumed the 4-point DRLs around the headlamps replaced the ones that are part of the turn signal bar. Thanks!

Congrats! You're gonna dig it! That's right, two sets of DRL's. The four point in the light housing (which I like more than the outer four points in the PDLS headlight), as well as the lower horizontal bands.

Particularly the theme of four / X carried back to the tail lights. Especially at night. Love them!

I only see ONE car that fits the bill (with RAS). They all come with PTV.

I was just looking at that car. Wish it had Bose.

If the car had no stereo at all I don't think it would be a showstopper for me. If the car I linked to was around just a week ago,I probably would have made an offer as I like the interior better than the one I purchased, and the mileage is almost the same.

Although not crazy about the yellow dials. I'm sure some people love them, but I don't like the colored dial faces.

The last few Bose systems I've had have been very underwhelming, and this is coming from someone who used to work for the company.

The stereo in my Tesla in comparison is amazing.

Pretty easy to upgrade to "better than Bose"... I would jump on that car if you like everything else!
