that could possibly be the new GT4 motor which is based on the 3.0. It won’t be the $60k expensive GT motor.

The GT4 4.0 is what we are talking about. It ain't ending up in a 992 Carrera.

Nice heads up, I will give it a listen.

You either get the T or you don't. The base Carrera was pretty legit in the 991.2, but adding the T parts make it more focused. The last of the narrow-body made it a very appealing car.
Even more so now, IMO, after seeing how much heavier the 992 is and how it just looks bigger than a T.

I think outside of Rennlist, it is a little misunderstood, but all the articles reviewing the T have been incredibly positive and when I was at LA PEC the instructors love the T.
The original Club Sport name, might have afforded it more attention and understanding from dealers, because it was really hard to find a good spec IMO.
Too many cars were ordered incorrectly to the ethos of the car.

^^ You can find the podcast here: https://www.podcastone.com/spikes-car-radio. The Car Matchmaker episode is the latest and has the T comments. Go to about 18:45 and the question is on collector car values and if the 997 is at a low point. Farah comments how the T is really sweet and they didn't make very many, and the narrow body is unique compared to the 992. Spike has a GT2RS and the whole crew on that show are big Porsche fans. Pretty cool.

Also, this is the One Take video Farah and Spike did comparing the T against the GT3T and other cars. Both guys offer a lot of informed opinion - really good review if you haven't seen it yet.

Those two seem so clueless to me. I would not take their opinion to mean much.

Matt reviews cars for a living, I happen to think he has some great insight. Spike is a very successful TV writer (Seinfeld) and a “car guy” They are not clueless.

Id say at the very least they are as educated and informed as most of us posting in this forum with our opinions!

Matt F. has driven just about anything you can think of, stock and modded. He also has significant track time; the guy knows how to wheel a car.

I realize who Matt is. I'm sure he's a fine driver. I just find he's always saying stuff that is slightly off. And Spike was saying all kinds of silly things in that segment. Just felt like the blind leading the blind to me. In fairness I can't stand most car opinion. The EVO guys are the only ones I can take, Henry, Jethro, etc.

Again, my post was not clear. I know who both of these people are. Review the part where Spike is talking about the R versus the GT3T. No mention of the single mass fly wheel option in the R, he says the clutches feel the same, no substance on the engine differences between 3.8 and the rigid valve train 4.0. He says they sound different. They both say things that are either not accurate or the most lay perspective one can have. There is far more technical understanding on the forum, possibly not the Carrera forum but certainly the GT board. Call me not impressed with either of these gentlemen. If they do it for you, enjoy.

Nice find. PDK car, so same as a Base but I bet the tires (especially those corsas) and wheels helped a bit. #45 overall is very respectable IMO!

Henry Catchpole is my favourite motoring journalist. I think he’s now migrated from Evo to Carfection.

Agreed. I’ve watched that mini-review several times. He clearly knows what he’s talking about and I like his style of delivery.
