Tom at TPC sent a customized file (firm and extra firm) for me for the DSC and that helped quite a bit, a compromise i know, but an improvement.
It was for this reason that i went with the setup i chose. I didn't want to drop $7K on coilovers but i wanted the ride height adjustments of of a coilover BUT i wanted to be able to tune the car with the DSC controller. For this reason i went with the DSC and the sleeved coilover adapters for the stock PASM shocks. If i could do it all over again i would have picked different spring rates but that would be the only different approach i would take.

Reacher has Stage 2 COBB. You'll know I won't sleep tonight right?

Isn't that already an option, with PDCC?

PDCC gives you the option of hydraulically controlled sway bars. If you want stiffer rates, you have to put on stiffer springs unfortunately but the DSC controller gives you the ability to have a soft cushy ride on the street with the ability to turn things up to 11 on the track! In a PDCC car the drop links are changed via hydraulics on the motor where the power steering pump used to be (pre-991) and they're controlled via the PASM controller.

Some other folks asked me to post the analysis i did the other week. I have always been curious how a modified 991.2 GTS makes its power relative to the mighty 991 GT3. Again, this is not a this is better than that posting. I just wanted to share with you folks because i finally got my hands on comparable dyno run and i like to analyze how the NA cars make their power vs. the turbo cars.

Enjoy!

That .2 GTS has one fat and tasty torque curve...

Nice graph, also its worth pointing out how robust the 9A2 has proven to be - in sharp contrast to the problematic engine in the 991.1 GT3.

Nice thing about the .1 GT3 tho is that if left stock, it has a phenomenal warranty!

Does anyone have experience putting slightly larger tires on the factory Carrera wheels (F - 8.5 J x 20, R 11.5 J 20)? Was looking at 255 and 315, but want to be sure there are no concerns. Thanks!

I'm running 255/35 F, 315/30 R Toyo R888Rs on Sport Technos (9in front, 11.5in rear) on a 4S, and I had no issues. I'd think the 255s on your 8.5 in wheels should be doable, but on the lower end of the range. It'd also depend on the specific tire you've chosen.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping to do 315s in Sport Cup 2s, but it doesn't look like that size is available.

Collected a barrier on the passenger side - out of action for a month. Will have to move over to a different car. C'est la vie.

Door and rear fender to be bashed out - all mechanicals and structure 100% good.

Groundhog, sorry to hear about your car. glad you are ok.

Drove the car on MSR Houston on Saturday. Wet night and drying track with the grassy area outside of track in swamp conditions. Not sure why there was at least one car every session that wanted to test how far into the mud they could get stuck.

I have the following modifications;
DSC Module with custom stiff and extra stiff programs
Center radiator
AMS Inter cooler
IPD Plenum
AMS air filter
SOUL Performance Cats
VF Eng / HEX Tune
Girodisc 350mm rotors (note these are not S rotors but purpose built for base model)
pagid RS 29 pads
rigid lines, SRF fluid, and caliper stud kit.
Alignment
6 point harness

Car did great. I did not push 110% as I needed to build speed safely and track was drying from previous days of rain. The brakes are phenomenal and to be honest, dont need 380mm. I was stopping faster or as fast as anything else. This is compared to the 996GT3 I had for 6 years. The brakes are smooth and ABS never engaged. My brake habit is from the 6, which is notorious for ice/winter mode kicking in early if you don't load front tires, and therefore my first stab at the brakes are not as aggressive as it could be. The DSC module keeps the car planted at all time and chassis was never upset and even when going over curbing there was no drama. The car has great power. It is so fast out of corner, much faster than my old 6. I left everybody in the dust. No competition. the ECU does limit torque, ie if I short shifted to try and use torque vs hp out of corner the car would not accelerate as hard vs when i did not shot shift. This is ok as I like the reliability vs peak hp & torque. Oil temperature never got over 227F and water stayed at 194. This was in 65-75deg ambient temp.
The 4S tires held up well. Good grip for first 6-7 laps then starting to give up a little. Once the tires started to slide, I pitted. No reason to stay out just to wear out tires and make chunk.
In all, a great platform for gentlemen track day driver and weekend driver.
Next and final event for my spring season at COTA in 4 weeks. With my 6 on R888 tires I got close to 2:30, expect to be under 2:30 in this car.
