like your idea of the Brembo big brake kit and the metallic calipers too. I honestly hate all these painted calipers...I like the brushed metal calipers that are on the Cup cars...they look awesome.
They are not Brembos (on the cup cars) they are nickel plated performance friction callipers - very neat, very compact - unfortunately PF won't sell you a set without going through Manthey Racing.

What's the cost on that kit when all is said and done?

Getting ready to attempt the highest top speed of any race track in North America; I removed the stock tires and went back to the Trofeo Rs. This car should exceed 180mph as long as the driver is willing to keep his foot in it! Gonna do 1 session and then park it.

You guys don't know how good you get it.
Its around $13,700 AUD here. (Includes steel lines and Brembo pads)

I have someone with a Base Carrera that wants to by my full OEM setup. However I have centre lock wheels, but obviously a Base has five stud. Will the rotors fit his car? Meaning, do those five locators on the centre locks act like 5 stud and are they the same size and location, making it the same rotor hat for Centre lock as 5 stud?

Nope...5 lug and center lock rotors are slightly different and different part numbers.

Good luck John!!! I was trying to schedule a business trip over tomorrow to see couple of stores I sell to....they aren't ready to buy yet...bummer! I was going to spend the night and come out and watch.

Hey your calipers in this photo sort of look darker from heat changing the paint color and possibly a dribble stain that's darker going down the front caliper from brake fluid...and I seeing this or is it just shadows?

I ask because my clappers, especially the fronts will dribble brake fluid out of the bleeder screw somehow...Porsche dealer even replaced one of them and new one did the same thing but both side do this. Very curious about this....I just had Vortex here in Tampa rebuild the calipers and check them over and repaint them. They didn't see anything with the caliper threads and where the bleeder screw seats in the caliper though.

thanks...go Flat Out! Mike

Can the centre hats be changed, or is it not worth the exercise?

are you talking something like GiroDisc rotors? Stock rotors are all solid...rotors hats all 1 piece.

I was asking will the Stock Rotors from a GTS with Centre locks, fit a Base car that has 5 Studs? If No, can the hats be changed? If they are one piece, then obviously no.

GTS and S have larger rotors...will not fit the base Carrera calipers.

Hahahaha, Yes the whole point of the exercise is I am completely removing my entire braking system and replacing with Brembo BBK. So he will have my 6 pot calipers and the 350 rotors and the pads, everything.

Ok I was confused on what and why you were asking ;-) If you are going that far with replacing the brakes on your car...just do the 380mm set up instead of the 350mm. I suggest slotted rotors over the cross drill rotors too. If you track your car the slotted rotors last longer-crack less...and I've noticed slowed rotors produce less brake dust too...so thats a plus for the street.
