Sorry mate, The steering wheel is on the wrong side. Great offer for someone though.

John, glad to see it came together so well - also, wheel is on the wrong side for me too

Just out of interest what was your Vmax and lateral and lineal G?

The Vmax was 172 on the best attempt on the GPS. I can't figure out how to suck the videos from the GoPro with the Harry's overlay. I think we would have gone faster though with the Cobb tune at full boogie. We had it turned down some because of the long wide open throttle - at Daytona, in order to achieve 172mph, you're at 100% pedal input for 35 seconds. No other track on this continent has that long of a straightaway with the exception of maybe the old configuration for the F1 track at Indianapolis; even then, you couldn't stay flat necessarily going backwards through turn 1 at Indy because it didn't have the degree of banking that Daytona does.

I would assume the Gs would be 1.3 - 1.4 or so but truth be told, I don't trust that thing on the cluster that much. I've seen higher than that before and I think it's a bit aggressive because the race cars I drive are usually 1.3 - 1.4gs in the middle of the corner on Pirelli slicks and the cars are a lot lighter with stiffer springs and sticky sticky tires. This car should not make more Gs than they do. It's probably closer to 1.2/1.3 sustained at the apex.

thanks John - I don't think the dash meter reads high per se - it shows a constant read out. With SC the car logs at one reading per second - thus in order for your logs to match the dash read out you would likely need 10 laps of data.

1.6 g under brakes and through left and right turns seems about the general max for cup2n1 - the secret is to be able to do it consistently and generate a nice smooth circle. 😀

Car looks great👍

John, I'm assuming your 991.2 GTS has RAS and PDCC, right?

It has neither RAS nor PDCC. I'm thinking of putting it back to stock actually if it doesn't sell soon.

Bummer!!! I had to put my 2012 GTS back to stock before it would sell. Zero interest when i had better suspension exhaust and brakes on it. Odd i know..

Good move and great experiment. The percentage of Porsche owners that track their cars hard e.g. under a licence is not large. Probably only 5% or so. Probably 25% see DE days.

This is good intel! What do you guys think? I'm sure a lot of you interested in these parts want them for YOUR cars but that anyone interested in a GTS probably doesn't want a car already built like this. I need to move it - is it a bad idea to just put it back to stock and sell it as the CPO car that I purchased? Should I wrap it?

Remove the performance parts and return it to stock. It will be far easier to sell.
Do not wrap it, leave it as is for the next owner to decide.
Sell off the performance parts here on Rennlist where you will find the most hardcore guys looking for AM mods.
