That's not a reboot, looks like a lose connection. Check all connectors including ribbon cables to the screen inside PCM.
I've been dreading having to do that but it might have to be my next step.
I would have assumed a loose connection would be something where I'd lose CarPlay if the car went over a bump or something. This happens when it's sitting still--in this case in a grocery store parking lot.
Has anyone else seen something similar that could be traced to a loose connection situation?
Hi, I had exactly the same issue. When I turned Carplay on, my PCM shuts down, then start again and shuts down again every minute or so. With Joyeauto off , PCM works flawlessly. I have sent unit back to Joyeauto and today I've received replacement. I hope it will works this time. But I have a question. What is the "Key in" two pin wiring for? It's not Joyeauto wiring diagram.
Regardness of it, it is only used when you can't swtich to carplay system
Anyone have issues with electrical noise/whine with the JOYEAUTO kit? It’s like it has a bad ground, but all the grounds are bundled in the wiring harness. I don’t see any connection issues.

Don’t put too much faith in the wiring connections on the supplied harness. Inspect your harness and verify you have solid bonds where common wires are joined, black/grounding wires are good examples. - Always use a chassis ground and try to minimize the length of the wire. Porsche ground wires are colored brown on the 991. Also verify your harness mates properly to the PCM and your aftermarket to PCM male to female connectors.
I just finished a lengthy install and wow that was not a fun time.
im currently stuck on the final piece of throwing the PCM back into the dash (981 BS). I can’t get it all back in and it always remains about 1 inch out from home no matter how I configure the cables. The joyeauto unit is tucked under the steering column.
Any and all advice welcome as I am growing frustrated. I know this is a 991 forum but I’m assuming similar space behind the PCM.

Same problem, it’s just a tight fit. That big cable connector is a bear. Try tucking some of the cabling down the slot in the back. Put the unit it as far as you can while still getting your hand back there. It’s just a lot of crap that wasn’t meant to be there... it will eventually fit.
If you take off the center lower passenger side tunnel cover, you should be able to see the cables enough to pull some of it down. When I did this on my 991, I was able to see some of the wires coming down ion the middle and help take up some of the slack. Other than that, you could try to loop the harness, in different position to try and fit it back in.
I decided to unplug all connections to the back of the PCM and sort it in a more straight line. Went in after a couple attempts that way.
Finished up the backup camera install today too and that was it’s own bit of battles. I couldn’t really find very well defined instructions for it so I kinda went my own way.
Now I’ve got CarPlay and a backup camera that my wife will really like.
I am open to sharing tips if anyone is interested.
