Here's some pulls on the dyno so you can hear how it sounds. It doesn't sound like any other Porsche TT/S that I have seen. The exhaust is very deep and spooly, can't wait to get more videos out to you guys
Which Transmission tune do you have it? Power figures/boost and full boost at what RPM?
Gintani TCU tune, the COBB would not register or communicate with my car at all. They had to send the TCU out to Gintani and they loaded up their stuff.
I'll have a full writeup with the final mods and dyno graphs and info when everything is finished. I would assume Wednesday will be the day It should all be fully done.
Nice! Are you attending the gila bend half mile this time around?
No, I wasn't too impressed with the track and all the gravel esp for this kind of car. My Mclaren really got beat up with all the loose rocks everywhere.
I'll be going to NFZ in CA though, one of the best 1/2 mile tracks I've ever raced on.
Alrighty, time to update this thread with some results and the final full breakdown of the mods done:
ACF TT Kit, Inconel 625 Manifolds, Garrett G30-770 Turbos, Tial 44mm MVR Wastegates.
ACF Titanium exhaust full 3.5" to quad tip, recirculated gates.
Evospec 4.0L Built Motor sleeved, forged rods and pistons. Stage 2 CNC ported head, SS intake valves, inconel exhaust valves, upgraded springs, larger cams.
Evospec/Radium Surge fuel tank system triple Walbro 525 pumps, -8AN lines, and regulator/return system.
Evospec Custom wiring harness for Motec extras.
Evospec Custom fire suppression system.
Dodson Clutches with billet oil pan and bracing.
By Design Billet Intake Manifold with Port injection, IDX 2600 injectors.
BMS Intercoolers with custom hydraflow clamps.
BMS Charge Y Pipe with dual Tial BOV with custom hydraflow clamps.
BMS Large turbo 4" intake filter.
BMS 2 Gallon Stealth Methanol Kit. (will need to be installed for cooling down IATs)
BBI Roll cage.
BBS FI-R (still need to order)
Syvecs AWD controller
Motec ECU system with Motec EGT to CAN module, Motec E888 expander for extra I/O all tuned by Wayne Potts (ISC Tuning)
Added extras for fine tuning and safety.
- LPFP Sensor
- Coolant Pressure Sensor
- 6 EGT sensors (1/cyl)
- 2 Back pressure sensors (1/bank)
- 2 Shaft Speed Sensors (1/turbo)
This car runs on full E85 but it has flex fuel map when needed in an emergency. All dyno runs are using pump E85 from the gas station.
Map 1 Red 18psi (WG spring)
Map 2 Blue 26psi
Map 3 Green 32psi
Map 4 Yellow 38psi (Maxing out the turbos)
I haven't driven the car yet on map 4, but I can tell you that map 3 is just an animal lol. Looking over all the data, it's a very efficient setup without a doubt. Exhaust back pressure was 1:1 on map 4 all the way to redline, and at a conservative 24* of timing with pretty rich AFR (IMO) for DI/E85 engine. I think it could have done 1200whp if we raised timing to 29* and leaned it out half a point but I'm not chasing records or trying to live on the jagged edge life of the turbos. I will need to install the methanol kit back for IAT cooling. During these runs IAT would go up in the 140F range. I would imagine while staging at the race event on a hot day I bet we would see IAT go up to 180F+ at the end of a 1/2 mile! Eventually I will go air to liquid setup with an icebox and go one step larger with the turbos to G30-900 and try to hit 1300-1400whp. This motor is good for 1500whp, so we'll see how far I want to take it. For now I just want to enjoy the car as is now that I finally have it back!
Just look at this beautiful graph and the FAT powerband! I can't wait to race it at the 1/2 mile event next month, lets see if this can break 200mph!
Again, just want to thank you all for the continued support. I don't think I could have gone through all of this without your guys' push and positivity. Next up is lots of videos and dragy runs
