Still no real tuning done lol. They had issues with the COBB not communicating with my new TCU. I spoke with Alex from Gintani and he was nice enough to help me with their TCU flash, so I had Evospec send it there.
I believe Evospec got the TCU back last week and it should be good to know, who knows. We'll see when I actually get some numbers or updates.

Hang tight and keep your head up. I know things don't always go our way but stay positive. I know John could be a little hard to get a hold off but if it's one thing I know he wants your car done from what I understand. Communication is key, which might be lacking in this case. I know once your car comes out, it will not disappoint.

Just trying to give updates every 2-3 weeks to show what's really happening. We've been trying to tune this car for like 3 months now LOL

Slowly getting there. I think final tuning should be done sometime next week and hopefully the car is ready for me to pick up next weekend.
So far they're at 700whp at 18psi.

Also, 700whp, say 800+crank, seems a little low for 18psi, or, is it?

So, just thinking about this, for you to hit 1400hp, will that be 30/35 psi of boost?

LOL, I just some empty cans left over from dyno runs, I have a ton at BMS that we use for that same reason

Yes and no, as the turbo boost gets higher it will fall into efficiency range, then slowly back out of it. I'd say about 36-40 psi to max out these turbos, but we won't really know until they start to turn it up.
Good thing I have shaft speed sensors and a compressor map to go off My ultimate goal is 1200whp, hopefully that's doable.

Haha, thanks Mike! Maybe I'll get the car back in time so we can do some friendly runs

That is pretty bloody impressive; good to see you are finally making some progress.

Serious diesel type boost pressures you'll be running at, very cool, will you be able to drive it (daily) at that type of pressure?

I’m guessing he’s going to need E85 for those boost levels, but yes, no problem daily driving at those boost levels. The car goes as fast as you push, if you don’t push it’s pretty tame. With a standalone ECU you can also switch maps on the fly.

I was thinking more along the lines of fouling plugs, carbon build up at low boost/daily speeds - my very tame 991 usually only does daily/city type driving, but last week when it went north, the first couple hundred kms mileage was pretty rotten and there was hesitation - a few solid 'Italian Tune Up' applications of the throttle cleaned it up, improved the mileage, sounded better - in his case, a healthy plug cleaning will need a lot of road...
