Stock (as from factory) 2019 991.2 on 93 octane pump gas...
1/4 mile = 10.44 @ 131mph (DA around -800)

After stage one tune (no other changes) from Champion Motorsports....
1/4 mile 10.23 @ 134mph. (DA around 1500)

Best 0-60 = 2.3secs (w rollout)

Best 60-130 = 7 secs

Looking to add Fabspeed Valvetronic Supersport X-pipe Exhaust and then up my tune to stage 2 with the 100 octane map. Hoping to get into the 9s with that setup. Enjoyed reading through this post. Great info!

Killer seeing another stock 2019 rolling a 10.4 in the 1/4. Great post. Looking forward to your results.

So envious of your thick, juicy (below) sea level air! Turbos definitely help reduce the deficit, but our typical ~9,000' summer density altitudes rob us of so much power...

But our Turbos are still FAF up here compared to everything else!

That does suck about the thin air up there. Imagine how it'd feel if you could beam yourself down to sea level in a second or two and make a pass / pull in your car. You'd feel like it was a next level of tune or race gas or something. lol

We would be happy to hook you up with our Valvetronic X-Pipe!

From the factory, Porsche equipped the 991 Turbo models with an extremely powerful 3.8 L flat-6 engine setting a performance benchmark yet again for sports-cars and super-cars around the world. Despite the impressive performance, the soundtrack is decidedly lackluster without any indication as to the sheer power of the engine that fuels the fire. The exhaust note is far too sedate to be representative of a proper sports car. It was our mission to develop an exhaust system that was capable of retaining a valved system for the ultimate balance between street, and track exhaust tones.

Our engineers have spent countless hours of hands-on development with the Fabspeed Valvetronic Supersport X-Pipe Exhaust System to extract the absolute best of both mild and wild exhaust notes from the 991 Turbo. The results speak for themselves.

VALVES CLOSED: Enjoy our signature Supersport exhaust sound. Exhaust flow is channeled through Fabspeed's signature 63.5mm Quad-Resonated X-pipe. We engineered it specifically to smooth out exhaust pulses for a sophisticated and exotic exhaust note while being as free flowing as possible. The tone is perfect for cruising around town or long highway drives.

VALVES OPEN: At the push of a button, the valves are opened and the exhaust is free to rocket straight out from the Sport Cats with an aggressive scream. The full story of Porsche's turbocharged 3.8 L flat-6 is unleashed, along with an intoxicating barrage of crackles and pops upon deceleration and downshifting. This system truly needs to be heard and felt in person to be appreciated.

I was driving back from lunch yesterday and saw a nice 308 on the street. I thought “Wow! Maybe Big Swoll is in town?” But it turned out to be some other Tom Selleck impersonator.

Funny you put it like that. When I got the car, my friend Mike took these photos and put my face on them... LOL

Thank folks!!

Couple of things for you TT / TTS expert folks out there. I was invited to do a Track Day event / Auto Cross / Laps with instructor at AMP (Atlanta Motorsports Park) with a good friend that's a member there.

I need to do a couple of things. First change the oil / filter, have my brakes flushed / filled / bled, and I was possibly thinking of buying a new set of tires. If available I might spring for some Cup 2's since summer is coming and I've always wanted to try a set. Esp. on track.

So, questions are this:

1 - For Cup 2's on track, what are COLD tire pressures to be set for best track grip (assuming outside temps will be in the 50-70 range since we're warming up????
2 - Anyone have a recommendation of "better" Brake Fluid to use / swap in to these cars for better performance / longer life?

Lastly -

If I decide to have the alignment messed with, can anyone share any Specs for a good Track / Street alignment that's better than stock but won't eat up the inside of the tires for reg. street use to / from the mountains when we go drive??

There are others with more experience and information than me, but aa few thoughts...

...COLD tire pressures...
What you're really interested in is HOT pressure, too hot and they will loose grip. It's hard to predict how much your tires will heat up (how aggressively you drive, track roughness, ambient temp, what tires, etc). Check pressures immediately after every track session, and you will probably keep bleeding air out of the tires throughout the day.

But to answer your question, with performance summer tires like the PZero or MPS4S, try to keep hot temps under 35/36 psi and maybe start out at 30/32 and keep bleeding throughout the day.

..."better" Brake Fluid...
I like Castrol SRF fluid, but it's become more difficult to get and many others swear by Endless RF650. Both are great.

I might spring for some Cup 2's ...
Cup 2's would be great, but MPS4S will be more than good for a first track day... Part of the learning curve is learning how to not overcook tires, brakes, get the right lines, etc, and adding stickier tires to some extent just covers up errors.

Specs for a good Track / Street alignment that's better than stock but won't eat up the inside of the tires for reg. street use to / from the mountains when we go drive??
I have not done an aggressive alignment on the 991 Turbo, but run a quite aggressive alignment on the 996 Turbo. I don't find that a correct high camber alignment really wears the tires unnecessarily on the street. especially if a large portion of that street driving is mountains or other aggressive street driving.
