Alright Alright ALRIGHT!!!!
Again, this is ONLY the GIAC Race Gas tune and a Catless Tubi Exhaust. NO OTHER Mods!!
So I went back to the Exact same location as the first two test sessions. Stage 1 Plus, then Stage 2 Plus, and NOW the Race Gas Tune.
The car had right about 1/4 tank when I cranked it today (I was thinking it had way more), so I figured 5 gals of the MS109 would work great.
After filling it with the 5 gals of race gas, I was sitting at just over 1/2 Tank Full. Plus me at full weight, a couple of jackets, and my two Glocks again. lol
BTW, this area I test is over a bridge that has some pretty good bumps on and I THINK those up and down undulations mess with the VALID vs INVALID percentages. I've tested in this spot, BOTH ways, every singe time and I get as much as almost 1 % Positive Incline and almost as much as a Negative 1.9% decline and everything in between. I just don't think it's that bad either direction really. But at lest this shows the consistency of the area and tunes moving UP.
Weather conditions were a good bit better than the last session and just a bit better than the Stage1 test session. So Y'all tell me what you think. Should I keep the Race Gas tune??
Stage 1 Plus tune BEST was 7.01 VALID (+ 0.88%) and 6.69 Slightly INVALID (- 1.10%)
NEW Stage 2 Plus tune BEST was 6.62 VALID ( +0.20% and 6.37 Slightly INVALID (- 1.39%)
Stage 2 Race Gas Tune BEST was 6.07 VALID (-0.87%) and 6.07 INVALID (- 1.12% )
BUT, I did one 1/4 for a launch but FORGOT and left it in NORMAL Mode and forgot to hit the Sport Response button until half way. Spun bad and it short shifted off the line.
STILL...... it ran a 10.62 @ 140.04 MPH (1.92 60 Ft.) And the 1/8 was 7.08 @ 109.33 MPH
Just too cold out and tire pressures too high to get a good dig ( Rears were 38 psi Hot)
I'll post pic below from the Dragy!

I attribute so of the gain to the great DA, but the race gas tune is certainly a bit more stout.
Even though the slope was -1.8x, that 140 MPH 1/4 was nice to see.

I managed a 10.6 @129 stock but haven't done another 1/4 run since my tune... Before the 200 cell cats and Tubi exhaust my 60-130 was 6.59 so I think the hfc's helped and not too much on the exhaust side..

Exactly. I was shocked. But the funny thing is, it was a Brain Fart on my part. I left it in NORMAL mode and tried to launch it, so you see in the vid below how it didn't launch well (bogged) and short shifted also on one shift. Maybe it was a good thing. I kept Spinning badly when actually trying to launch with Cold tires and cold pavement.
Thank you! Hope ATL Dragway doesn't get sold / redeveloped before the Spring Summer, so I can try to make a pass.
Yeah, is was pretty good DA, so I'm not expecting it'll do this all the time.
As said above.....This one 1/4 vid (the 140 trap) was accidentally an attempt to launch in NORMAL Mode. So it bogged on launch but didn't spin like it had been, plus it Short Shifted on the of early shifts (I assume due to traction control on and possibly spinning from 1st to 2nd).
10.62 @ 140.04 MPH but with a horrible 1.92 60ft.. (1/8 was 109+ mph)
Here's one of the 6.07 Sec. 60-130 pulls.

I think your pump gas stage 2 tune will beat a stock 992TTS with no problem. They appear to be around 6.8 seconds 60-130. ES Motor recently did a baseline test of their 992tts and got a 7.09 60-130 and a 1/4 trap of 132.5 mph. Most tests look like they are around 6.8 though. You should kill a stock 992tt on your pump gas tune.
