In all seriousness, I don't think it was available for the 991.1 - unless there is an aftermarket software patch.

I got this one a few weeks ago and spent the extra 50 GBP for the backup camera since mine didn’t have one.

I just drove over 1,200 miles with it and am very happy. It is so nice to have Google Maps and Waze on the PCM screen.

That is a very good solution for the price point; all the .1 guys should flock to that. Cost me two grand to fix that in my 996tt.

I am too deaf to appreciate the sound system (or hate it, depending), but that is handy.

Yeah, I couldn't bring myself to do that, none of the aftermarket units fit well, and you lose some PCM related functionality. Plus, the PCM 3.1 supports ultra high res audio like DVD-A and has an in dash changer which the PCM 4 lost.

Thanks guys...didn’t want to change the PCM...or replace my 991.1 with a 991.2 with $70k in upgrades on it or on the way 😂😂😂

My other suggestion is to get a glass screen protector for your PCM 3.1 because it’s a resistive screen with a soft plastic membrane. Not as sensitive as an iPhone, but it is pressure sensitive so works fine with gloves. A glass protector will keep you from damaging the plastic as you’ll be touching and dragging the screen more than before.
