Yes, a close comparison, but with some differences. I have very limited seat time in the GT2, so that's a tough direct comparison for me to elaborate on. We use 100 cell cats vs. the OEM 700 cell, along with a center X-Pipe, so the base sound is a little louder than the OEM GT2, but still faily subtle with valves closed and definitely a few notches above the OEM GT2RS in terms of sound level output.
With the valves opened it is more aggressive and throatier than the OEM GT2RS exhaust when the valves are opened, again largely due to the 100 cell catalysts letting out more sound. I find it best with the valves programmed to open at about 4,200-5,200 RPM's, similar to the GT3RS programming. That avoids the excess boominess at lower RPM'S and opens it up in the higher RPM's which is normally when you want the extra theatre. However, if you want the throatiness all the time, you can set the valves to open early or leave them fully open all the time. The system allows for a lot of options and I have found that the type of driving will dictate which mode is preferable at that time.

Very nice that is so exciting even just to watch it happen for you. Congratulations. Maybe you’ll find some more treasures in there as you open up more!

Haha thank you. Well, for starter, I had hard time locating the center lock tool. It wasn't in the same location as my 997's. It DID feel like I found a treasure.

Yes, my thoughts exactly, but I am assured this is not normal...

Not sure how to take that, but that's what they said.

Just finished building a set of those GT3 wheels in 19" for the 996 - seeing them on your GT3 makes me feel like I did the right thing.
