We will open to see what went wrong, maybe a bearing, we arent sure at all.

I thought soft top convertible is not allowed in tracks. Is it different in Texas or am I mistaken or are you converting it to hard top?

Did a mid winter start-up and driveway loop to get things circulating. Not too long now...

I have a 335i cab. Does that count? It doesn't get much use though....

Thanks. I use our SpeedTech 3.0 GT2RS Style Valved Competition Exhaust. It operates as a full 3" X-Pipe with valves closed and then with the valves opened, a straight pipe off the cats opens up, which is the same exhaust design as the OEM 991.2 GT2RS.

There are a few pictures toward the bottom of this web page link: SpeedTech 991Turbo GT2RS Style Valved Exhaust

This is the basic design. The inside tip is the exit from the center X-Pipe (which can be either a 2.5 or 3.0 for default sound level) and the outside tip is the cat dump pipe. The valves can be either always open, always closed or programmed to open at a user defined set RPM, such as 5,200 RPM's. That's what I am using on my car. It provides an entertaining major mood change at the push of a button.

thank you for the detailed response. How would you describe the sound? I have had a GT2RS and like the “throatiness” of it in sport but subtle otherwise. Close comparison?
