Quite true... that's why I'm getting a separate set of wheels and will run cheaper (non PS4) tyres for HPDE events going forward. Part of the cost of doing business, if you drive/track your Turbo anyway! Same goes for brakes, upgrading to the 380 Giros rotors and they recommended the GT3/4RS street pads for now, until I feel the need to go up to their GP30 (?) enduro sets.

It's the same as insurance companies pulling out of weather-plagued states like Florida because their losses have been too great.

It's not weird at all. The big name insurance company I've been with for nearly 30 years for vehicles, home, and umbrella coverage wouldn't insure my TTS. Obviously, bans like this only happen when claim costs on certain vehicles exceed premium revenue. They'd rather reduce their risk than raise premiums to the level needed to break even or make a profit.

The insurance market and pricing varies greatly across different regions. We live in the Washington, DC metro area, which is highly congested. My wife and I are both zero claims, no accidents, or traffic citations for more than 20 years. However, my company's policy is to not offer coverage on the TTS.
My post was not about premium costs, it was about refusing to cover the TTS at any premium price.

So i have been taking a few days off and have accomplished quite a bit.
Basic maintenance, painted entry and drive key, Dealer visits for Multipoint inspection and repair on the struts for engine lid, painted moshammer diffuser, gt3rs side skirts, radar and dashcam hard wire, plastidip emblem, side logo, puddle lights, zunsport grill installation and ofc mountain drives!
now once the parts dry, sand and buff followed by installations. And the dreaded spark plug change...

The location is perfect for me. As noted, i don't need visibility of the phone since i have Android Auto. I wanted and got a secure mount for a charging holder.
And you're right, the wheel does completely block the phone.
