Here is a picture of my old bladder/lip. You can see the air fittings on the bladder. This is the part Suncoast sells for 2k.

Dave, see if this is what they replaced or if additional parts were installed. It would be good to know...

I'm contemplating fancier valve stem caps but concerned about the effects on resale value.

Similarly, I’ve stopped wearing my alma mater’s school colors in the car because I just don’t know how the next owner is going to feel about that…..

This fix alone justifies (at least in Canada) extending the warranty IMHO; three years, unlimited mileage, $5500CDN. Seems like this is a common failure point.

The other thing that justifies it is if the gearbox were to let go...

Just picked the car up. Got the old part too. It's still in the back of my truck. It looks like the part everyone else is saying you can buy from Suncoast, but I just took at glance in the box. I'll post pics later. Gotta go see my Mother in the hospital.

Here's the receipt and info for anyone interested. Hennessey is great to deal with handled everything with Fidelity. Thank Goodness I bought that Warranty!

Sometimes solutions are worse than the problems they were intended to solve?

Problem: Previous generation Turbos semi-frequently smashed their front lips, requiring replacement at a cost of $100 or so and took about 15 minutes.

Solution: A retractable front spoiler for increased clearance, with associated sensors, air bladders, computers, OBD codes, plus flexible rubber components. That fail without ever being hit, and cost ~$5,000 to repair.

Yeah yeah, active aero, blah blah blah, but the bottom line is they put the retracting spoiler in there to improve clearance...

Another valid point to move to a GT3 Touring front clip...

LOL

With such a nice tint I wouldn't sweat it not to mention your clear side markers alone will kill you on resale...
