Is flipping a problem or highlighted because Porsche is producing GT cars that a larger segment of the population wants? I believe it is the latter. Much higher demand has impacted the allocation process. Flipper's role is minor.

I think the problem is are all these third party dealers or people that are trying to be dealers. How many GT3's or RS's do you see for sale? Where are they at? Some random dealers that sell random cars but they want like $50k over for them.

Also, what Auto Gallery did to basically set the price for an RS by offering to buy other dealer's allocations at a significant premium should be stopped.

PDK allowed more people and some poseurs to buy, the flipper is a player here, just like the drug smugglers

this is something PCNA should crack down on, I say anyone doing that should lose allocations for a year

see how this works, the co-conspirator complains they have no allocations, blames PCNA, its a short sided view/plan, they lose future sales and service dept profits, the whole purpose for having a franchise is so your product is sold fairly over a large area

I'm really skeptical that PCNA will do much to stop this flipping particularly since they're going to have to butt heads with dealers. For example, out here, at least one sales manager at a dealership has bought a car kept it in storage for exactly 6 months, then 'decided' they aren't going to drive it much and then flip it for way over list. There's no way he'll lose future allocations. Until PCNA goes after dealerships for things like this, the flipper market is going to continue spiralling upwards.

Friends, the bottom line here Porsche has more demand than supply which is a high class problem to have in business. What makes it worse people are lined up to pay more than MSRP, and leave deposits to just wait in line for years. Please tell me why should they care or change the model?

I'm just saying, and clearly they read this board as it relates to the marketing department. They're licking their chops like shooting fish in a barrel. I think they have no incentive to change the craziness which draws in more customers, and make some buy the junk cars to stay in play. I'm just saying.

Couldn't agree more, my local dealership got 5 allocations for .1RS and they called offering $25k for there last 2 allocations. Fortunately my dealership like long term business relationships.

I think it's dealerships in most states that are ones to blame for setting "Market adjustments" on top of the MSRP. I was in the market for GT3 991.2 being my first GT car it was impossible to find any allocations without 40K markup. So I just settled for next best thing and purchased a second hand 991.1 for now until the market for the Gen 2 cars adjust.

Enjoy it ...........drive back to back not sure you wouldn't notice much difference other than if you wanted a manual.

It seems that Porsche did the job (Cracking Down on Flippers) or all the flippers from Europe are on holiday right now because I am selling my PTS RS through Porsche dealer with original price (as I bought it from my dealer, including extras) and nobody wants to buy it.
