None of them are the New New. I also wouldn't be surprised if we see some big hits on the 991.1 GT3, 991.1 RS and 991.1 GT4 based on what is coming down the pipe and likely production numbers.

More than $50K over to begin with. Just wait and see:

"Supply bottlenecks"
"Last manual"

Etc.

R8 V10 Plus?

I went to about 8 P dealers trying to get a build for MSRP all which laughed at me. Finally I found one that hooked me up, and its local which makes it even better.

Last summer one even told me (The Owner) he wanted 100k over sticker to get his first allocation. He was dead *** serious too. I swear to you this happened as rediculous as it sounds. I kid you not. No joke.

I find it funny how any dealer can charge whatever they want BUT the minute a customer does something everyone loses their minds. I don't like, matter fact NEVER pay over sticker for anything, especially cars. But I also understand that people will have a car that is highly sought after and sell it before the magical 6 month window and likely make a profit. Who cares? I'd rather have us, the customers, make money than Porsche and their dealers make ever more money. It's hypocritical in my eyes. If Porsche cracks down on dealers screwing their customers over simultaneously with cracking down on the customer basis flipping cars then I am all for it. But, it shouldn't be a one way street, period.

Ah, but the situation is asymmetrical. The cars ALWAYS pass through a dealer first on their way to any customer, whether that customer keeps the car or not. And dealers as market makers have an incentive to keep the spread between bid and ask as large as possible, while vehicles are under Warranty.

Individual customers usually don't have the same resources to make a market, just an individual transaction.

Local to the Chicago area? Were those other 8 dealers all within a certain mileage of where you live?

Nobody is paying $50k over for a .2GT3. Some dealers are asking for up to $50k over, but so far there is zero evidence that anyone is actually paying it. Asking prices and selling prices are two different things.

Word of advice: if your dealer asks you to drop to your knees and **** him for an allocation, don't assume that others are doing the same.

And I cannot track down a new GT3 allocation from any dealer; sure I could find one out of state; but how is that good customer service? I have never flipped a Porsche. I drive them. I track them. I love these cars. I represent their ideal customer and am loyal to them. It's hard to not get upset. And I am sure there are many who have bought many more than me in the same situation. If Porsche truly cared for enthusiast buyers, then they would ensure people like myself and others were able to get these cars without the fuss.

Game, set, and match. Your post cuts to the crux of the issue (wouldn't it be nice if Preuninger read it). If Porsche is serious about the issue, they will produce as many GT3 as they can sell. That's not the case. Therefore; Herr Preuninger is blowing smoke.

Regarding the 911R owners being upset by their assets perceived devaluation. Fukc em

I hate car flippers period. Let us all enjoy the toys that we pay fair price for.

Flippers ruin everything for the enthusiasts. Flippers are not enthusiasts period.

Why can't Porsche break all contracts with dealers and start doing their own stores like Tesla does. There won't really be huge job losses as the sales team can work in the stores.
