GT3 Dealer Allocation Thread
#346
Just paid my $2k deposit at Porsche Mill Valley, CA...very nice people there. Paul was very honest with me, "We have 40 on the list, first 12 are manual, only half made a deposit, they will be making the PDK cars first." You are right TM5, he said the 918 crowd are passing on these. How many cars can they possibly buy? (918/991 Turbo Edition, GT3, GT3RS, 911R). Apparently they are waiting to buy the new 991.2 GT2RS which will be offered to the 918 guys first.
I got a different story from every dealership I spoke to (5). I think that they all had their sales meeting today with management and were all told different things. It's kind of funny really. "Go get 'em kids! as much as you can get out of those suckers!"

Latest update: Porsche Newport Beach called me back..."Yeah, so sorry, they will go to 918 owners first and then sold at market price (aka-above sticker)." Well, only 40 more dealerships to call...

Call my SA today, top 5 or VIP buyers have got their allocation confirmed (Australia). But I think it's just a guarantee of getting a car not official allocation. So if you are VIP enough, you should received a call already.

Austin : Spoke to sales manager. He said 10,000.00 NON REFUNDABLE deposit and that market price which was currently running at +35K so, take it or leave it.
I asked him to hit me a few times with a bullwhip from Tijauana to seal the deal. He hung up.
Monterey : I have been a long time customer there. I was told I could be first on the list for 15% deposit and the car would cost me market value.
I asked him to hit me a few times with a bullwhip from Tijauana to seal the deal, and please make the deposit non refundable. They admitted that it is California law to make the deposit refundable.
I am still searching nationwide for a bigger cornholing, maybe a 100K deposit for starters and getting boiling oil dumped on me.
Or just go the ferrari route.

I'm pretty sure that Atlanta is referring to the home of PCNA, not necessarily bc the market in Atlanta is blowing up like crazy for GT cars

They told me no cars about 2 weeks ago. Though Austin did contact me back on Saturday gauging interest. I reiterated interest only at MSRP. They said they'll keep my info. Ya never know.

In Brett's defense, Brett was very courteous about it and simply indicated that their list was well beyond full, which did not surprise me. My best bet is going to be sticking with my local dealer and just waiting it out and seeing if I can get one of the last cars.
