First, thanks for your excellent camera work the last two days!
Do you know if the car is in the normal road mode (no front end lift)?
I just measured my 991RS without lift, and full extra cap gas tank, and it is 100mm. I thought I read new GT3 is lower, and strongly recommends lift.
Safe travels

GT3 is lower than RS. You could possibly skip the lift for an RS, but I would get the lift for a GT3.

Lift is standard in Australia.

^I follow the "Mooty mantra" and rough it without.
Never replaced a front lip during ownership of two 991 GT3/RS'.

It's weird the things that are standard in various countries.

I was on the U.K. configurator today and noticed several options that are standard on US GT3s.

You'll be going fast enough, water won't collect there.

I would rather have this than the 911R. Better engine. Same gearbox, steering, suspension. There's really very little difference. Very minor weight savings on R with CF wings, front lid and Mg roof. That's it isn't it? More bling interior I guess if that's any value to you.

At the Geneva show yesterday. Car looks awesome in the flesh. Didn't like the scoops much to start with but they grow on you fairly quickly.

Just a small summary of the main upgrades/changes on the engine that I am aware of:

-hydraulic lifter to solid lifter
-crank drilled to allow oil to con rod bearing
-less parasitic loss due to lower oil pressure
-3.8l to 4.0l and still revs to 9k....means even higher piston speed
-from single to dual mass FW
-two intake flappers for better response
-same engine as the the new Cup car

Very impressed....looks like the new engine has more than addressed the well known short comings of the .1 gen.

Can't wait to find out what they do to the .2 RS!

The new GT3 engine is definitely better than the RS/R engine, which was very similar to the GT3.1 engine. This is due to significant heads/valvetrain and oiling/oil pressure improvements.

In one interview they say there is now headroom for improvement so the exciting question is: what will they do for the new RS? Will it get 9k to give it more kudos than the RS.1??
Better? If you mean revs higher. Same power output. Solids normally can rev higher than hydraulic. Hydraulic normally used for street applications due to self adjustment, 0 maintenance on valve train and quieter. PAG clearly learned revving hydraulic valve train to 9000 created issues for 3.8 and backed the 4.0 down to 8600 with revised pressures and squirters. RS and R lumps are stout units and so far 0 issues.

All 991, 997 and 996 GT3s/RS had hydraulic valve trains for street application. All stout motors.

I am unclear as to whether the new .2GT3 has same exact motor as the Cup, which I doubt, likely based off that motor with same valve train and some components but if exactly the same the rebuild interval for the new Cup is 100 hours.

Proof of a solid valve train that doesn't require adjustment (a first) will be in the pudding. Most engines have their issues. Doubt this one will be any different.

AP also told us a few years back that flappy paddles were for grandmas. He also stated in one of the vids on the new GT3 he didn't receive an R. I found a couple of articles discussing AP's R. Hmmmm. Maybe AP says whatever works at the time?

Finally, 991RS and 991R don't have factory rebuild intervals.

Most importantly. Porsche has been testing these engines on the racetrack all last year. It took them a while to get it right.
E engines = disaster
F engines = improved to fix E shortcomings
G0/G6 engines = reliable
991.2gt3 engines = race proven and 5 year of feedback of this new platform.
