For reference, the 720 makes a TTS feel slow after the first few feet (awd traction) and glides over surfaces the tts bounces upon. The 765 is deeply bonkers

Drifting
The 765 will make a 720 feel a pinch slow. It just uncanny how quickly it puts on and takes off speed. There’s no way it only has 45hp more. I think it’s been dyno’d with 765 at the wheels vs 660 for the 720 which butt meter feels plausible (ref: DragTimes). The steering is a bit lighter and the brakes bite a bit harder, which is more to my preference. It vibrates more and the exhaust is deeper and louder. The rear wing is ridiculous, usually in a good way but it blocks the rear mirror on the highway. It doesn’t have the same Jekyll and Hyde the 720 has, which can be quite daily usable. It’s more Hyde and Hyde on cocaine

I've had a 765LT Spider for close to a year now. Car is brilliant. Blisteringly quick and very composed.

McLaren 750S announced today - slightly faster, lighter, etc etc than the outgoing 720. Remains pure-ICE. Gets the upgraded infotainment from Artura
Supposedly weighs just 3068 lbs wet

New configurator is loads of fun to play with

And yet the 992.1 Turbo S is still a better choice, in my opinion.
(Not compared to an upcoming LT variant, of course, but compared to the run-of-the-mill 750S, it is.)

And pretty sure most people are not cross-shopping a TTS and a 750 (or even a 720)

That is how a configurator should run.
Fantastic.

Love my new to me 650S spyder and have been bitten by the Mclaren bug... completely different from anything Porsche makes and a unique ethos. No cross-shopping with any 911 really. They serve different purposes and scratch adjacent but different itches.

I have a 675LT Spider and a 997.2 GT3 RS. Both are great, engaging cars to drive but very different experience. Its a great combination.

Why? Is it because no one pays attention to the Porsche vs. a more exotic car? Cost? IMO, they aren't even in the same ballpark aside from them both being sports cars.

Have a F12 and 991.1 GT3 in the garage and considering shaking things up a bit. Maybe selling the GT3 towards a 675lt or 600lt (spiders for both)....or consolidating both into a 765lt or Pista. Need to get my hands on all but any thoughts?
#6644
My recommendation would be to keep the F12 and trade the GT3 for a 675LT Spider.
