I will say it's surprising to hear of sloppy work as most of it is done by bacchelli villa, I've visited them and know how they work.. utmost level of pride in craftsmanship. But I guess anything is possible, especially on the Internet.

Sloppy detail work in general (e.g., paint overspray; small mechanical hiccups; trim misalignments; cars returned with comically bad alignment (ie, there was never an alignment done after the car was put back together))
All of the shortcomings conveyed to me were things that could be resolved without it being apparent to Ferrari that a third party mechanic had had their hands on the car during the intervening period should the car eventually be back with Ferrari.
The downside of arousing Ferrari’s ire - especially in light of the accuracy and completeness of the contemporary record keeping - could go as far as Ferrari suddenly deciding that your car is suddenly “illegitimate,” which reminds me (on a much smaller scale) of an experience I had with the Rolex boutique on Michigan Avenue in Chicago:
I had just purchased my new-to-me 116520 Daytona, and I couldn’t find my little toolkit to add a link to the bracelet. I swung by the store on Michigan on a Friday evening and began to explain myself to a store associate (“I just bought a Daytona and need to add a link to the bracelet so that I can wear the watch comfortably, can you help me out?”). I had the watch in my jacket pocket and the link in a small plastic baggie. The store associate asked me where I bought the watch, and I told him I bought it from a broker (this was in early 2017, well after the 116520 had been discontinued to make way for the 116500 Daytona). Without having seen my watch, he immediately proclaimed “Oh, it’s probably fake if you didn’t buy it from Rolex. We don’t work on counterfeit watches.” I have not, since that juncture, darkened the vestibule of that establishment.

that Rolex dealer sounds like an idiot. Sorry you had to experience that.

I had another weird experience with Audemars Piguet in Chicago. I was interested in buying a Royal Oak as a 30th birthday gift to myself, but I was very unsure on whether I wanted a 15300, 15202, 15400, or the then-new 15500 (this was in February of 2019) - I was hoping for an opportunity to test drive a 39mm vs. a 41mm case on my wrist.
Swiss FineTiming is the only AP AD in Chicago, although it is not an AP brand boutique. I dropped by around lunch time on Presidents’ Day, and the store was decidedly un-busy (security guard, one saleswoman, me). I was surprised by this because Chicago has a significant financial services workforce, many of those workers have the holiday off, and that’s the time of year that most banks and funds pay bonuses - i.e., shopping time for luxury goods. The store had one large AP display that was probably 10 feet long, and it had one single, solitary watch in it - a rose gold perpetual calendar Royal Oak. I explained my dilemma / curiosity and the saleswoman told me - while looking down at her phone - that it would be impossible for me to find any of the watches in which I was interested. I bought a 15202 a few weeks later, but not from her!

The 991R can hang with a 620R on a back road? What are you basing that on? I don't believe it can. And, I don't believe it can hang with my 600LT on a back road either.

and regarding scarcity, the production of the 620R will ultimately be closer to 250 total units and all the kinks of the 570 platform have been worked out

You ain't kidding brother. From my experience, the 911R couldn't hang with the 600LT for two corners on a back road, let alone the 620R.
