Great. How am I going to face my RS this morning and tell it that it's a low life. If I do that it may very well pull a Christine on me.

No one described things that way ...............they are functional, effective and fast, fun even but they are not really high end. It makes no difference to me personally but it seems to matter to some Porsche owners. Its not something I personally consider at any level thats why a I purchased a new RS and gutted it for my needs. I didn't consider doing that to my 720S. So for me there is a clear difference e.g. something that I consider track fodder versus something that I don't think is track fodder.

The true high end cars have design elements and construction methods that are simply missing from most Porsche sports cars.

I did (kinda) the same thing. Bought a heavily modded 997 gt3, gutted it, and now upgrading the sharkwerks 3.9 to a 4.1. I wouldnt dare gut my supercharged r8 or any Mclaren but buying a 620r is tempting (hate the wat they look thought).

I agree. That’s why I gut my 720S’s as track fodder and leave my Chirons as they are.

Excellent enjoy your 720S - surprised you went for one given there’s no need for heel and toe.

TLDR: Opinions are subjective based on personal beliefs which may or may not change in the future based on subjective opinions which are personal beliefs.

Tongue in cheek: Today a 720S is the best car in the world. Tomorrow a bus pass is the best car in the world. If I could go back in time, yesterday’s best car in the world is a 911R.

Conclusion: You like what you like until something you like better comes along. Please don’t say this to your spouse!

That’s for lower level butlers. My high end butler doesn’t need to be told. He knows when I need it and passes it to me just in time.

Yeah right! You leave "your Chrons" right at the Bugatti dealership showroom.

GT3, TTS, TTS Exclusive, GT2, GT2RS, GT3RS, CGT, 918, 935, GT2 Club Sport.

Certainly as high end as F cars and Macs.

They all have models clearly achievable by the middle class and upper middle class.

Interior photos tell me nothing. Sorry.

Again very subjective. All of it.

Pagani, Bugatti, Koenigzig, etc are in another league based on their clear exclusivity and initial buy in price to the club. Agreed.
The Turbo is described as the "everyday super car" and just like the ZR1 its fast but no one would confuse either of those with a Ferrari Superfast or 720S or 765lt. The CGT is the only standout Porsche has made at least in my book.

The 918 was very effective for a short time but look at its interior - honestly it just isn't the complete package in a way the P1 or La Ferrari La Ferrari is. The 935 "replica" is really a GT2 RS in a body kit..........thats not fooling anyone.

The simple split is around design, manufacturing, materials and performance - like artwork there are those that want to buy something special, different, unique - you do not really get that with Porsche.

What you really get is top-end but not high-end and there is a difference.

So in a nutshell with cars there is a physical engagement factor and a mental engagement factor which could be crudely summarised as how it drives and how it looks.

You can't compare a Porsche turbo to A Chevy. Its closer to the F And M cars. Also if reliability matters to you than M cars are out.

Plus the 720's are depreciating at a ridiculous rate.

I built my 991TTS and was thrilled with it for 3 years. Ferrari I agree is on another level but price delta and dealer games have moved me away from the brand.
