Mine - yes she's pretty. But it's the drive that is mind bending.

I am considering a Macca for myself, going to track it a bit. So far, I have driven only mp4-12c Sprint edition. I like it, fast and maybe too good and safe... felt as quick as 458 challenge, but ferrari had much more soul. Also easier to drive the mac for me.

So went to some dealerships and this is what I have found so far: It seems the 720lt will be called 765lt so gobs of power!!! and expect it delivered to end clients by the end of 2020.

There will be produced:
750 coupes
750 spyders

Also in my case I have to be a 720s owner or at least 600lt to get an allocation for 765lt. I have checked this with multiple dealers.. seems Mac is going Ferrari and Porsche way, personally I dont like that...

Can we get like 30% off msrp for a 720s these days? What about the 600lt?

Is there any reliability difference btw 2018(2019model) 720s and the 2019(2020 model). ? Because I guess can get better princing for a 2018 car

^ I never heard of having to be a 720 owner to get an LT version. In fact I have been talking to my dealer extensively (Mclaren Newport Beach) about getting on the list when there is a list and the topic of being a 720 owner has never come up once.

I left a 10k deposit with McLaren Rancho Mirage 2 months ago and was told that I'm 3rd on the list for a coupe. Don't own a 720 but do own a 675LT which I purchased at another dealer but service at Rancho Mirage

Really?

I was offered a 750LT slot and have absolutely no prior McLaren ownership. Granted, I wouldn't be the first to get one, but I was going to get one. A new one, in fact. Which is ironic, because I would have preferred a slightly used 750LT.

I live in Europe and maybe marketing is different here than in US, the dealers I have spoken to are located in Germany and Spain respectively.

The guys in Germany said that they don't even guarantee a slot for the 765lt, even buying the 600lt/720s, but having a pretty good chance to get one. By the other hand the other dealer told me, thats 100% I will get the 765lt if buying the 720s before.

So the only way to get a 765lt here seems is going through 720s/600lt first. As 600lt stil sells close to/at MSRP and will take a big hit next year, I would get a 720s at the lowest price (not many optionals, MSO, etc) and sell it next year when I should get the 765lt.

By the other hand I would like to buy ONE car, an LT car and this game of Mclaren really makes me go hmmm and I might as well wait for the 992 GTxRS...

600LTs don't sell anywhere close to MSRP, at least in the US. Given Europe's economy is a dumpster fire right now, I find it particularly hard to believe European dealers are getting anywhere close to MSRP either.

I would laugh in the face of any dealer that told me I had to buy a 720 or 600 to get on the list for the 720LT. They just want to move their 720 and 600 inventory and are testing you if you fall for it.
