^Would that be through the online portal or would you actually go in to the dealer and have to submit your build sheet?

400/500 AMG GT R just for EU market
first deliveries spring 2017 almost gone
adding US and RoW markets means the car is not limited
nor only 200 Ww first tranche
as rumored in this thread

Does anyone have firm numbers on the cars production cycle? Interested in buying one after seeing some of the reviews and have a dealer that is ready to put an order in the system for me.
No msrp as of yet either, so interested in that if anyone knows anything there also.
I like that the car is different, and clearly does some things right in terms of making it around a track

There are no firm production numbers yet, but from what I was shown the production is going to be limited, but not a "limited edition, numbered car".
With the falling euro, rising rates, we will we what happens. My order is locked.

GT-R will be a great car.
Wanted to touch on a comment series a few pages back about steering feel/
The 996GT3 was slightly nervous but incredibly sharp. Too sharp for a lot of people. Very narrow track.
The 997.1 had better tempo to the tires from the hands but still slightly nervous. Rear end still had a wonky rubber bushing from stock and too soft of front springs.
997.2 was to me the best at working the tires into the suspension and back into your hands. To me the 997.2 RS and 4.0 are the high water mark for modern "wet era" 911s.
The mclaren 675LT has the weight of the original non assisted NSX or the 964 but with the accuracy (because of the more solid suspension) of the 4.0 997.
The current cars are too muted and I miss the older cars a lot.
Back on the GTR topic, the TCS system will save a LOT of people.

Just so we are clear 200ish US cars delivered in 2017 was the net. I said nothing on ROW #'s
200 US is a good reference number
No one said numbered car - limited is a vague word.

I put a deposit down for the black series slated to come out next year literally 2 years ago...and I couldn't be more pumped. I've been driving an AMG GT'S for the past year and have found it more exciting in the real world sense than the comparable 4s, and honestly even 991 gt3 I had. It's definitely not going to be the popular opinion on here, but AMG IMHO has put out some very compelling competitors to Porsche in the pipeline.
