991 GT2RS

before GT4 or maybe GT4RS have to come the Cayman GTS first - dealers do not see in their production shedule any other interesting model above the GTS if we speak about Boxter/Cayman.
991.2GT3RS will be the next "big thing" - but i guess still 4.0 (maybe 4.2) and i guess also MT available.
For EU the production window is just from 03/2018 till 08/2018 - seen on the dealer pre-order sheet. (reason Euro6c).
If the .2GT3RS will be the equivalent to the 997 4.0 - i mean not "only" a facelift also more radical - this i dont know. could be a 991 "4.0". based on the short EU production window and the bunch of normal .1GT3RS in the market .That nobody needs a facelift with the same engine - so they will do something crazy what will be the **** for the cool kids and we ordinary RS owners will be happy because the limited demand will keep .1GT3RS prices up. (even if Porsche gives normally a damn ... what .1GT3RS prices are in the 2nd hand market)
we drift off the thread - but when will be the presentation of the 992?

That's a **** ton of rake in the rear wing.
Gurney anyone? I can't tell if the wing is shaped like that or its a huge Gurney but I don't remember seeing it at Goodwood.
Wing looked like the GT3RS wing to me.

Nordschleife Master
deadline for first registration of Euro6 vehicle is 1.Sept.2018
links (unfortunatly only in German):
i guess Porsche could manage it somehow to get the GT2RS and the N/A 4.0 engine ready for Euro6c - but therefore they need to install a particle filter. the allowed amount of soot (fine particles) is with Euro6c just 1/10 compared to Euro6.
on DFI otto engines this is an issue which seems only to be solved with an additional filter. (AdBlue / urea)

So, here's what I understand, and please correct me if I am wrong. These current engines qualify for Euro6. Euro 6 ends and then Euro6C kicks in on 1. Sept.2018. The issue is that fine particles will be limited to 1/10, and that these current engines exceed that? But, it's an easy fix with an additional filter? I thought soot/fine particles have more to do with diesel engines and less with gasoline engines? I guess the answers to those three questions are in the links, but they are in German, which I cannot read.

I never noticed it but the end plates are quite a bit taller and truncated compared to the 3RS. That would suggest more curvature. Looking at old GW pics, looks about the same to me (apart from the rake.)

Could be.
The Goodwood one had a normal 991.1 RS wing.
Nobody stopping Porsche from making setup improvements as they completely lacked for the 991.1.
I'm running neutral with Gurney now but expect to take it down further once I get diffuser..

Did not notice anything wagging back there; but, I did notice the wheels he was running on were the magnesium option. Only instead of that goldish, pinkish, color offered in the configurator, they were black. A color option not offered on the car, at least so far. In any case, someone recognized black as a much more stylish complement to the Speed Yellow, and deciding that if they were going to break some records, best do it in style.
