Seems to me there's more interest in the LT spider versions. Meaning the coupes are all to myself and a few I love this new GT2 RS but its hard to beat an 675LT. That's where I'll probably go. If the above post indicate Porsche can't beat the Performante the luster of the "widow maker" is out for me.

Nice 488 and RS!

Here is my RS and 458 side by side for comparison to each other. I agree the Ferrari's are just a bit more special. The RS is quite spectacular though. What I like about these two is that their ride quality, handling, acceleration, steering feel, sound and personalities are completely different. A little variety in the experience with these two. Both NA engines with quite pleasing exhaust notes.

I'm curious how the GT2 will feel in comparison to these rides.

Impressive monster of a car, and I think it looks badass, but realistically its purported reason for being doesn't really make sense.

For the road, it's much too fast, as are the other 991 GT cars already.

On track, it will be a beast among fully streetable cars, but the operating cost will be very high, and IMO a better option with this kind of budget is a track-only car with track-only suspension, slicks, full safety systems, etc. If you really need to go that fast on track, why buy a car compromised to accommodate street use? This thing is unlikely to keep up with a 997 cup, and certainly won't keep up with a 991 Cup.

The car seems best suited for guys with deep pockets who want the king of the hill 911 to drive on the road occasionally, and maybe take it to the track now and then - rich man's toy (nothing wrong with that). If the goal is fun on the road or heavy track use at blistering pace and a somewhat sane cost, I think there are better options than this GT2 RS.

So PAG is taking the place of flippers but they won't win that game as the ADMs will still be there depending on production. Car is amazing though. Price is disappointingly high. Have to think on this. May wait for.2 GT3RS

Hard to beat those two NA cars... seems like the pinnacle of NA motoring right there.

Also can someone ask AP if production will be limited and what production is expected to be?
Thanks

Don't agree Ferraris (430, 458 488) are a bit more special than RS GT 911s. I see those F cars all the time out in the wild. Never seen a 991 RS in the wild. At C&C or shows yes but otherwise no.

To me they are on par.

The answer to this question will separate the fringe GT owners who buy the cars because they are awesome AND they hold very strong resale value from the truly rich guys that don't give a crap about depreciation and just want the hottest Porsche GT car.

I'm in the first category and I'm not afraid to admit it.

More than 500

Right

They have offered one to every VIP, not sure beyond that. It may be like the 911R.

Nope not like the 911R. that was, in fact, a limited production and stated as so by Porsche. In contrast, this GT2 has been explicitly stated by Porsche it is only limited by their production capacity. So in that regards sure it is limited I guess. If they can only build 10,000 of them that will be the limit and then it is a limited edition run of 10,000 cars

+1. We pay for it now but the flippers should be discouraged.
